49s
“But before God announces the new, he tells them not to dwell on the former things. Do you know why? I'm glad you asked. Because you can't fully embrace the new while holding on to the old. You can't live in a new place and live in the old place at the same time. You can't. And God is saying, he's telling you, open your hand. Oh, just open your hand so that can close, and now you got room for the new.”
86s
“And then the other thing he told me that we gotta lay aside the weights. Oh my goodness. You can read that in Hebrew 12. It tells us to lay aside the weight. Right? And and you notice everything slowing you down isn't sin. Everything that slows you down isn't bad. Now, you know, it ain't bad. Sometimes it's simply just too heavy for where you're going. Some relationships are too heavy for where you're going. Some conversations are a little too heavy sometime for where we're going. Alright? I want you to hear me. Some expectations are even too heavy where we're going. Some memories are too heavy to carry where we're going. Some commitments that you made out of season is too heavy to carry where God has taken us. Right? And and so this is when the Lord says, travel light.”
52s
“There's nothing wrong with remembering. It's not. But you can't live there. Now I know what Paul said. I know what he said. But if you're staying there, if you romanticize in Egypt, you forgot about the control, and you forgot about the bondage, but you're thinking about the fish and steak because you eat manna. Murmuring, complaining. Amen? And at some point, you gotta say, it happened, but I don't live there no more. They hurt me. They hurt me bad, but I don't live there no more.”
