Without a clear vision from God, it is easy to become disoriented and drift aimlessly through life, much like being lost in a thick fog. Divine revelation provides the necessary direction and purpose, anchoring us in God's will. When we seek and follow His instruction, we find true happiness and avoid the chaos of a life lived without restraint. This guidance leads us into His blessing and the fulfillment of His plans for us. [58:01]
Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law. (Proverbs 29:18, ESV)
Reflection: In what area of your life do you feel a sense of aimlessness or disorientation, and how might seeking God's specific vision for that area bring clarity and purpose?
God often reveals His direction through a process of prayerful seeking and communal discernment. This is not about a loud, thundering command but a gentle sense of what seems good to the Holy Spirit and to us. It involves aligning our hearts with God's word and listening together with other believers. This collaborative approach to guidance ensures we are moving in step with the Spirit's leading. [01:00:50]
For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements. (Acts 15:28, ESV)
Reflection: When facing a decision, how can you intentionally create space to prayerfully discern what 'seems good to the Holy Spirit' rather than relying solely on your own understanding?
When a community collectively says yes to God's direction, incredible things happen. Lives are authentically changed, healing occurs, and people encounter Jesus in powerful ways. This is not the result of human effort but a divine movement that we are privileged to witness and participate in. The growth and blessing are a direct testimony to God's faithfulness to His vision. [01:02:13]
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. (Joel 2:28, ESV)
Reflection: Where have you recently seen tangible evidence of God's movement, either in your own life or in our church community, that encourages you to continue saying yes to Him?
A heart aligned with God's mission naturally looks beyond itself to those who are not yet present. It recognizes that the blessings we receive are meant to be extended to others who are hurting and broken. Creating physical and spiritual room for more is an act of faith, believing that God desires to bring healing and hope to every person in our city. [01:16:12]
And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.’ (Luke 14:23, ESV)
Reflection: Who is one person in your life that God might be placing on your heart to invite into the healing and hope found in this community?
Participating in God's vision involves active partnership. This means not only receiving blessing but also contributing through serving and inviting others. Serving builds deeper community and creates space for newcomers to be welcomed and cared for. Our collective yes to God's mission ensures that the move of His Spirit can multiply and reach even more people. [01:20:16]
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25, ESV)
Reflection: What is one practical step you can take this week to partner with what God is doing, whether through serving on a team or intentionally praying for and inviting someone who needs to encounter Him?
The Landing Church celebrates a clear, growing movement of God marked by testimonies of healing, answered prayer, and changed lives. Regular attendees and newcomers report encounters with Jesus, and the congregation documents those stories to celebrate and steward the season of blessing. The church continued routine life with announcements about social media volunteers, membership and board nominations, citywide prayer gatherings, and practical items like tax receipts and children’s ministry logistics. A white-cloud-on-the-lake illustration introduced Proverbs 29:18 to emphasize the necessity of divine revelation: without God’s vision, people drift and become disoriented; with it, direction and joy follow.
Leadership described a practice of discerning the Spirit’s guidance and then acting—echoing Acts 15’s posture of “it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us.” That pattern fueled intentional hiring, ministry development, and a culture of prayerful decision-making. Multiple testimonies of healing, deliverance, baptism, and soul-winning accompanied a rapid numerical growth trajectory documented in attendance charts: from roughly 100 people to sustained averages above 200, with recent Sundays nearing 250–300 including online participation. A prayer leader’s vision pictured broken sheep being led to healing at the church, framing the growth as a move toward rescuing the hurting.
Confronted with the “full house” reality, the congregation decided to multiply gatherings to make room for more seekers: beginning Easter, services will launch at 9:00 and 11:00 to expand capacity while keeping the main emphasis on worship, prayer, and community formation. The church called for practical partnership through invitations and serving—especially in kids, coffee, connections, and parking—to ensure hospitality and discipleship keep pace with growth. The mission-focused goal remained clear: reach 1% of the community by inviting lost, hurting people to encounter Jesus, receive healing, be baptized, and join a discipleship path. The gathering closed in corporate prayer and worship, committing to continued dependence on the Spirit’s guidance and to multiply the current movement throughout the city.
Sort of like me on that lake. I kind of knew where to go, but without being able to see past the clouds, it was it would have been so easy for my line to get snagged or for me to end up in the shore in a place I didn't want to go. See, God gives us instruction to show us where to go. Why? He wants to take us to the place where we can enter into his blessing and his goodness, and know all the things, all the plans God has for us can come to pass.

We want divine instruction to show us where to go so we don't run wild. So what do we do? We enter into prayer and seeking of Jesus to show us what to do. And we find and we discern and we kind of unveil through prayer and through seeking the Lord instruction that's what we would say, it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and it seemed good to us. And then, we move. And then, we move. This would be a model that for us, our lives as Christians, that we should follow.

It's been a privilege to witness times where the altar in the front here, and this is what we call the front of the church. We just call it the altar. It's just kinda Christian language around it. But the front of the church is filled with people pray in prayer at times. It's been a privilege to witness people getting healed of sickness and disease and pains. It's been a privilege to witness answers to prayer. It's been a privilege to witness people released from bondage in their life and finding freedom in Christ getting saved, the people getting baptized, and the growth in this space.

It's been a privilege to witness the people who have walked in the doors. And I I've looked at like, has happened to me over and over again. And and there's people who just walk in. And they're so full of talent and grace. And I go, why are you here? Like like genuinely, I go, why are you at this space? Right now, where did you come from?

You know, he just he just told me, I do I say this to bless our worship teams and to bless our church. He said to me, because they travel around the province, that the worship experience we have here is one of the best in the province. Just just so you know. It it's true. And but it wasn't just talent, it was heart. It was heart. Authentic heart to lay it all down for Jesus.

That's why I sit here again, just in in multiple areas, why are you here? It's just I I like genuinely, I do that. You know, the Lord had spoken to me a while ago that the the word that he had for our church, but there was a new vision. And when I came on, I wanted to bring on that vision. And that was that revival, which is a a move of God, of drawing back to Jesus would happen in this space that spreads out into his city.

And even when he spoke, I have that word written down in my office. And he told me the time that it would start, he said in '23, it would he would begin the commencement. He told me in 2024 to prepare. In 2025, it would begin. And we have seen these things. You know, it it it's amazing to see how God is fulfilling his word.

And when I came on, I went to prayer. And it it was so amazing because I went to prayer and I asked the Lord, said, Lord, this is what I need from my pastors that come in to help. I said, I need a youth pastor who's also going to love tech ministry and be able to take over that stuff for me in the music because I I don't I can't do it anymore. And then I said, and I need someone that his wife would be interested in taking on kids ministry. Does that sound familiar?
