#GraceReigns
“``grace now reigns, rules, through righteousness to eternal life. The result, the fruit is eternal life for all those who believe and trust in the lord Jesus Christ in a true heart of faith. This is the great and grand scheme of redemption. Now if we if we're troubled by the fact that we're inheritors of the guilt of Adam, think this also. We're the inheritors of the righteousness of Christ, not for anything that we have done, but as a free gift of the grace of God. If you throw out the one, you have to throw out the other. You throw out, if you throw out Adam's guilt and say, I don't want any part of that, then you have to throw out the free gift of god in Christ Jesus. Whereas here, he was a type for us. Adam was a type of Christ who gives us the free gift. Amen.”

#ChristBoreOurSins
“``Many, many, many, many offenses, many violations, many transgressions of the law of God. We read what? Christ became sin for us. He bore in his own body our sins on the tree. In his own body. There's redemption. There's redemption. Glorious redemption played out for us. He took that all upon himself. He who knew no sin became sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of god in him. Here's the glory and the wonder of it. It's not like Adam sinned. There's a similarity and as much as each one of these two men represent a humanity. Adam, all of humankind, Christ, all of his redeemed people for whom he takes their offenses in himself and pays for them. There was no other way to redeem us.”

#DeathReignedUntilResurrection
“``Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses. Sin entered the world and death by sin and it still reigned. That's an interesting word. We're gonna see it several times in this chapter. It's the idea of one ruling and reigning of a king, domineering, and dominating over a people. Well, what's reigning? Death is reigning. Now, over us until what? Until the resurrection of the last day. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Jesus Christ conquered death. When we say that, those aren't just nice sounding words. It's a glorious triumph. Death has been conquered by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But for now, death still reigns.”

#LawRevealsSin
“``Is the law sin? Certainly not, Paul says. On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. The law is our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. The law exposes and shows us what our sin is. For I would not have known covetousness, he says, unless the law had said, you shall not covet. I wouldn't have understood that. I would have coveted and thought everything was fine, but the law exposed my sin.”
