God has a calling for every individual, not just for those who stand on a stage or hold a microphone. Each person is uniquely positioned—whether in their family, workplace, or community—to fulfill a purpose that only they can accomplish. This calling is not generic; it is personal and significant, and it requires us to take ownership and responsibility for what God has entrusted to us. No matter how ordinary your gifts or circumstances may seem, when you give them to God, He can use them for something extraordinary. [05:02]
Exodus 3:2-12 (NLT)
2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.
3 “This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.”
4 When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, “Moses! Moses!”
“Here I am!” Moses replied.
5 “Do not come any closer,” the Lord warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground.
6 I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God.
7 Then the Lord told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering.
8 So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.
9 Look! The cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them.
10 Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.”
11 But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?”
12 God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”
Reflection: What is one area of your life—no matter how small or ordinary—that you sense God might be calling you to use for His purpose? Will you offer it to Him today and trust Him to do something extraordinary with it?
It is not enough to simply know about God or to have heard His call; true power and security in your calling come from knowing God personally and intimately. When you draw near to God, you discover not only who He is but also who you are meant to be. The closer you get to the Creator, the more you reflect His character and purpose, and the more you are able to walk confidently in the calling He has placed on your life. [11:18]
Philippians 3:10 (NLT)
10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.
Reflection: In what practical way can you intentionally seek to know God more deeply this week—through prayer, worship, or time in His Word—so that you can better understand His calling for your life?
God desires to do something in you before He does something through you. True freedom comes when you surrender your past, your shame, and your limitations to God, allowing Him to transform you from the inside out. Holiness is not about perfection but about obedience and surrender—taking off the old and putting on the new nature God has for you. Every time you freely surrender what God asks of you, He gives you something better in return, equipping you for the journey ahead. [22:13]
Romans 12:1-2 (NLT)
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Reflection: What is one thing—an attitude, habit, or fear—that God is asking you to surrender to Him today so He can bring greater freedom and transformation in your life?
God not only calls you for your own sake but also so that you can be an agent of change in the world around you. When you say yes to God and allow Him to work through you, you can bring peace, order, and hope to your family, workplace, and community. God is looking for people who will respond to His call and step out in faith, knowing that He is with them and will empower them to make a difference wherever they go. [27:08]
Ezekiel 22:30 (NLT)
30 “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.”
Reflection: Who is one person or what is one situation in your sphere of influence where you sense God wants to use you to bring His love or peace? How can you take a step of obedience to be that change today?
Answering God’s call is not a one-time event but a daily decision to say yes, even when it is difficult or requires sacrifice. Each new challenge or opportunity may require another yes, and God is faithful to meet you with His strength every time. As you continue to say yes, you will see God move in ways you never imagined, both in your life and in the lives of those around you. [20:35]
Luke 9:23 (NLT)
23 Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
Reflection: What is one area where you need to renew your yes to God today, trusting Him with the outcome even if you don’t see the whole path ahead?
On this special day of honoring those who have led and shaped our spiritual journey, it’s important to remember the deep truths that have transformed lives—not just through words, but through the lived example of faithfulness and surrender. Looking at the story of Moses in Exodus 3, we see that God’s call is not reserved for a select few; every person has a unique calling and purpose. This calling may not always look like standing on a stage or holding a microphone. It might be in the home, the workplace, or even in the unseen acts of service. The key is to recognize that God has placed something in each of our hands, and He asks us to surrender it back to Him, trusting that He can do far more with it than we ever could on our own.
Moses’ journey reminds us that the call of God is often overwhelming, but it is precisely in those moments that we discover the sufficiency of an overwhelming God. When we give God our “yes,” even in the face of our inadequacies and past failures, He meets us with grace, calling us by name and not by our mistakes. God’s invitation is not just to do something for Him, but to know Him deeply. It is in knowing the One who calls us that we find our true identity and the courage to step into our purpose.
Holiness, then, is not about perfection but about surrender—taking off the old, letting go of what we’ve been, and allowing God to clothe us for what He’s calling us to do next. God is not a taker but a giver; every time we surrender something, He gives us something better in return. As we say “yes” to God, not just once but daily, we become agents of change in our families, workplaces, and communities. God is looking for people who will move when He calls, who will roll away the stones and unwrap the grave clothes, so that His resurrection power can be seen in the world. The challenge is to not let things remain the same, but to let God do something new in and through us every day.
Exodus 3:1-12 (ESV) — 1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
2 And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”
4 When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
5 Then he said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”
6 And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
7 Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings,
8 and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
10 Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
12 He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
Can I tell you this about your call is that if you can do your call by yourself, it's not your call that if it doesn't require God, it's not a call. It's not. Not that it's not important or it's not a good thing, but how many know that? Listen to this. That an overwhelming call requires an overwhelming God. Because it's not just having a call is what's powerful. It's knowing the God that is calling you that makes the calling powerful. See, we can't leave here today and say, you know what? God's got a purpose and God's. God's got a call. And if you don't know the one who's calling you, if you don't know the one who's speaking to you, then you will not be able to walk in the call that God has for you. [00:10:47] (25 seconds) #KnowTheCaller
If you really want to answer a call, you want God to do something powerful, you've got to make sure you position yourself to be in a place where you know the God that is speaking to you. That brings a sense of security, life in your life. When you know the voice of God that's speaking to you. [00:11:45] (18 seconds) #PositionedToHear
One word from God will do more than a million words from man in your life. Some of us are waiting for a pat on the back or an affirmation or a title or a position. But I'm here to tell you is that if you'll just make yourself available to God, you don't have to wait for affirmation of man. God will make a way for you. You don't have to wait for a title. God will make a way for you. [00:12:38] (26 seconds) #GodsWordOverMan
There has to be a yes every single day in your life that we want. Sometimes we want God to do something incredible. But God is waiting for your. Yes. And after 40 years of running, Moses has the unction, has the faith, has the strength to stop running. And it says, say yes. [00:20:22] (26 seconds) #FreedomInChrist
Truth number three, I want to share with you. Truth number three is that you can be free. Been here 28 years. I was gone five years. Went to school, came back. But can I tell you that in this ministry, in their ministry, in this place, I've seen God set people free. Is anybody free in the house today? Just celebrate Jesus for a moment, right? I'm thankful that I'm free, Jesus, my Lord, you can be free. [00:20:49] (32 seconds) #AvailableForGod
Holiness is a decision to take off who I've been and to put on a new nature. It's obeying what God is calling me to do and surrendering what God is asking from me in that moment. Holiness is obedience to God and doing what God is asking of you. Holiness is surrender. Holiness is giving to God the things that he asks for. Listen to this when he asks for it. Which means holiness is impossible without knowing God. [00:22:44] (40 seconds) #SurrenderToReceive
You must say yes to the call of God on your life. Well, I did it. Pastor Jordan In 1997, I gave my life to Jesus. And if you haven't said yes again, today's the day that you say yes and watch what God does. [00:34:43] (20 seconds)
