“``Why is this important? Well, it's because if you reduce Jesus, you don't just weaken a doctrine. You lose a savior because a reduced Jesus cannot fully save. And that's why this matters so much. We're not splitting theological hairs here. We're talking about eternity. We're talking about the difference between a Jesus who can inspire you and a Jesus who can truly save you.”

“We are not mocking people today. We are not attacking people today. In fact, I'll say many Mormons that I know are very kind and moral and family centered people. Very kind people. Many Jehovah's Witnesses are very sincere. I'm talking about some of the most sincere people in the world. But when when we talk about sincerity, you need to also get this. Sincerity does not save. Morality does not save. Religious activity does not save. Only Jesus saves. Therefore, when you study other religions, the question isn't, are these people sincere in what they believe? The question is, are they following the same Jesus that is revealed in the bible? That's the question that we have to ask.”

“Remember, the goal isn't to defeat a person, the goal is to introduce them to Jesus, the real Jesus. The Jesus who doesn't ask them to earn peace, but the Jesus that offers to give them peace. The Jesus who doesn't stand at the top of a religious ladder and and scream climb, but but the Jesus who came down from heaven and took on flesh and died on a cross and rose from the grave and says, come to me. Come to me. Listen, we're called to speak the truth in love, which means we contend for the faith without becoming contentious. We expose darkness without losing compassion for those who are trapped in it.”

“Imagine a son or a daughter or a parent or a friend. And now that imagine that person walking down a road with confidence. They're sincere. They're moral. They're religious. They're doing everything they think they ought to be doing. And in their hands, they're carrying a map, but the map is wrong. And because the map is wrong, every single step they take, every sincere step, even discipline steps, moral steps, they carry them further from the destination they think they're moving towards. Hey, what would you do in that scenario? Love wouldn't say, hey, at least they're sincere. But love wouldn't say, at least they're moving. Love wouldn't say, at least they have a map. No, love would run after that person. It would speak up. Love would say, I know you mean well, but this road is not leading you home.”
