#TruthWrappedInLove
“``So, if it doesn't come wrapped in love, don't buy it. So, what is God teaching us? He's saying, search for the truth like hidden treasure and when you find it, buy it. But be careful who you listen to. Be discerning about what you hear and remember what God has already told him about himself before you accept a claim to the truth. But, if we could really grasp the real thing, wouldn't we be rich? If we have the proverbs desire, we have the proverbs promise. The promise that we'll find the knowledge of God. If we ask, seek and knock, we have the Jesus promise, the promise that we'll receive and find and the door will be opened.”

#LoveBeforeJudgment
“``Christians need to stand for the truth, but not everyone who says they're standing for the truth are actually doing it. And, it seems to me that what often poses as a defense of the truth is in fact a betrayal of the truth. And why do I say that? I say it because when I see a theological fist fight between believers with each one claiming the truth, something's wrong. When I see believers pronouncing judgment on non believers claiming the truth, but spewing verbal sulfur and fire, something's wrong. Something's wrong because we can't claim the truth if we break the first, the finest and the greatest commandment. Love God with all your heart and mind and soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.”

#SeekTruthNotApproval
“``The final thing that I'll mention that if I really wanna know the truth, I have to set aside my need for approval. The word that motivates me in this is where Jesus says, how can you believe since you accept glory from one another, but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? So, those are some of the things that God has been teaching me about practicing the truth. What has he been teaching you? And, what might he be teaching you today and want you to be learning as you move ahead? People sometimes say the truth hurts. That can be true if we get down and get honest with ourselves. There can be a time of self examination. But Jesus has the last word. He said, if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

#PracticeTruthDaily
“``And friends, we have the gift of God in our lives. May he also give us the desire to continue to seek and search out and cry out for wisdom and the truth. But now, let's get out onto the field and practice. Truth can be practiced. In fact, it has to be practiced. How could we claim to know the truth if we don't practice it in our own lives? It has to be practiced if we're going to see it take root and flourish so that we become rich in the way God wants us to become rich. Rich in love, and in hope, and in faith, and in truth.”
