#PrelovedAndFree
“Therefore, you're free to clothe yourselves and humility toward other people. You don't need to use other people to prop you up. You don't need to make fun of people, to denigrate people, to make them feel small. You don't need to judge them in your heart. Uh-huh. I'm better than them at this. Like, you don't need to any of that. You know what? You show up to any group of people. You don't need to walk in the room to be the smartest person in the room. You're preloved. God's got you. You are preloved. You are preloved before you show up to any group of people, any situation, family reunion, high school reunion. Look how good I am. Look how good my life turned out. Like, don't waste your life on any of that. You are preloved. God sees you. He is for you. He is with you. Therefore, you're good.”

#HumbleWorshipReset
“And then scripture says, Peter goes on, he says, close yourselves with humility, kinda toward one another. And he says, humble yourselves under God's mighty hand. Right? That's the call to worship. That's a call to worship. Like, worship is this beautiful resetting, recentering of your ego. God is God. You are not Merry Christmas early. God is God. You're not. Like, there is one person in the center of the universe. He is the resurrected Jesus, not you. What a great gift. What a great gift. That doesn't have to be all about you. You're free from that because it's all about Jesus.”

#ShowUpToServe
“You could go to your your high school reunion, your family reunion. You could show up at some party, some gathering. You don't have to be charming. You don't have to be delightful. You don't need to use people to make you feel good about you. You could just show up and say, how can I serve? How can I love? I'm already preloved. I'm already good. God's already sent his son to die on the cross for my sins.”

#CastYourCares
“And maybe for maybe for for some of you, tomorrow, you'll spend all day casting. Maybe a 100 times, 200 times. Maybe that's tomorrow's work. But maybe five days from now, instead of 200 times, you'll do it only a 150 times. How awesome would that be? And maybe five months from now instead of a 150 times, you'll be doing it a 100 times. How great would that be? Maybe a year from now instead of a 100 times, you're just casting it 10 times a day. How great would that be? Because you gotta practice this. Because you've habituated getting all tangled up in these nets. Right? You've habituated this. The only way you unhabituate it is by doing something different. So we cast our cares on the Lord because he cares for us.”

#BelovedSpeck
“around God's mighty right hand, and we humble ourselves by remembering what's true. Here's a here's a short summary of who you are biblically. Okay? Biblically, you are a gifted, beloved, short lived, beautiful, wonderful speck of the universe. That's who you are. A very concise. Right? In fact in fact, I want you to repeat it with me. Okay? You are a gifted, beloved, short lived, beautiful, wonderful speck. That's the truth that gusts of the noise. All those things at the same time. Beautiful, wonderful, gifted, short lived speck in the universe. That's the path to real real freedom, real joy.”

#MeditateOnGod
“And so the the work of scripture is to sort of speak into and help us to know what's true and to sit under what's true, to meditate on what's true, to to to to ref reframe our lives beyond just here's how great I am to here's how great God is. Freedom and joy is not found in you meditating on how great you are. That's there's no freedom and joy and peace in that. Freedom, joy, peace is found on meditating how great God is and how great he is to give you those great gifts. That's where freedom and joy and peace is found.”

#CastAndRepeat
“Just point in the right direction of God and say, here, take this. I don't want it. Only God can do something with it. Now here's what I find. Maybe you're better than at at this than I am. I find that I'll heave all my anxieties onto God, and I'm like, I feel great. And then ninety seconds later, I'm tangled up all up in it again. Like, how'd that happen? I don't even know. But what do you do after you cast all your anxieties onto the Lord? And ninety seconds later, you're tangled all up in them again. You know what you do? Cast it again, again, and again. And you don't stop casting, so let's stop coming back in.”

#LetGoOfControl
“Last night I went to bed, worrying about the weather, the rain for today. How much control do I have over the rain? Zero. But I want control. Right? I want control, but I can't get control. So I've got I'm I'm control is an indication, a desire for control. Anxiety anxiety is an indication that you're bumping up against the limits of what the bible calls your dominion, what you have authority over. You can't control something that you wanna control, therefore, you're anxious about it. Notice that both these have at the core, this core lie. The bible says this. The core lie is this, that if you think you have to be in control to be okay, you're in trouble. The core lie is that I have to be in control in order to make sure that I'm gonna be okay. And if you spend your whole life thinking that control is the point of your life, you're gonna generate a lot, a lot, a lot of noise inside your heart and inside your mind.”
