I said to her I go but you know what I go daddy is so blessed by God I go do you understand that because I didn't have a daddy I God became like my father in a very special way and I saw how I had a relationship with God that none of my friends did because I didn't have a dad I had to depend on God as my dad more than they did. It's so important not just for ourselves to live this type of fearless life and having peace in our life but it's important for our children so they don't grow up paranoid worried about this worried about that because God's will is not that we are worried in fact God's command is that we don't worry that we're not anxious about anything. It's interesting that we live in the wealthiest nation in the world and yet we are the ones that are most preoccupied and worried about whether we have enough um and that's not the way God wants us to live I mean really how many people do you know that never worry about money think about that. Jesus wanted them dependent he wanted them going out on this Mission not knowing where they're going to live where they're going to get their next bite to eat so he could show that he will provide and and remember we talked about how that's the way God wants us to live you know we want to live without God and being safe even if he doesn't come through. I really believe the point of this Parable the point not Parable the point of this story was so that the disciples could look back at that and go wow I remember when Jesus did that of course he can provide for me today I mean I've got to confess uh this this um Miracle the feeding of the 5000 was one of those Miracles that I had heard about. If you worry about finances if you worry about God's Provisions think about that if that's you that's true of you if you you one of two things is true of you either you don't believe that God can provide or you don't believe that God will provide right I mean what else is there either in your mind you're worried about it because you're thinking I don't know if God can really pull it off. God made a promise okay this isn't something where you go well I don't know if my car is going to run tomorrow what now this this is about something that God has promised okay those are the things that we can have absolute faith in God promised remember what he said to his disciples he says you know what the rest of the world they're worried about their clothes they're worried about whether they're going to get food. If you want to be stressfree if you want to know that God's going to provide for you you have to be unselfish Luke chapter 12 tells the story of this guy okay this guy's like a farmer and he has all these crops and and and he he tries to shove all the crops into his barn and he has too many crops for his barn so he goes I know what I'll do I'll build a bigger barn. [00:29:02]

I can honestly tell you you know I work I I I am content I give generously and I can honestly tell you I don't worry about money I don't I don't I can't remember the last time I was like o you know what are we going to do it's like yeah maybe God will take away some stuff and that's fine I'm not worried about the future my kids know I don't worry about the future. [00:35:29]

He who did not spare his own son but gave himself gave him up for us how will he not also along with him graciously give us all things because think about it if God gave you his son don't you think he's going to take care of the other stuff too are you giving generously you know uh there's that story of the little little Widow remember her in Luke I think it's 21. [00:40:25]

Baptism and it's for anyone in this room who has accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior it's it's your time of just publicly saying you know what in front of all of you I will say I'm a follower of Jesus Christ now going in the water is saying you're going to die to your old life and when you come out you're saying I'm going to rise and live a new life for Christ. [00:41:25]

Repent and be baptized that means turn from your old way of living and start following Jesus now and then let's get baptized and immediately 3,000 people just went straight down into the river and they got baptized see baptism and it's for anyone in this room who has accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior it's it's your time of just publicly saying you know what in front of all of you I will say I'm a follower of Jesus Christ now.
