"Abraham here showed that it's easy to slip back into sinful habits way back in Genesis chapter 12 Abraham did a very similar thing, he denied his marriage relationship with Sarah leaving her greatly at risk but basically pushing her out in front of himself to protect himself leaving her in a very vulnerable position and God rebuked Abraham in that situation yet here many years later he slips into the same bad habit." [00:04:47]

"Spiritual growth does not happen automatically with age, and dear brother dear sister, you may not be significantly more mature in Christ today than you were five years ago ten years ago 20 years ago age does not automatically sanctify us or cause us to grow in God's grace unless we are yielded to the spirit of God we will repeat in our old age the sinful patterns of our youth." [00:06:00]

"But God came to abimelech in a Dream by night and said to him, indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken for she is a man's wife, but abimelech had not come near her and he said Lord will you slay a righteous Nation also, did he not say to me she is my sister and she even herself said he is my brother in the Integrity of my heart and in the innocence of my hands I have done this." [00:07:30]

"God's making the point very strongly to abimelech and even though abimelech could rightly properly say that he had acted in the Integrity of his heart and in the innocence of his hands, God said you've got to make this right abimelech and you've got to do it immediately or you are a dead man, now friends I don't know maybe this seems drastic to you, but something very important was concerned." [00:08:51]

"Despite Abraham's failure to really trust God in the situation and God didn't abandon him God didn't say hey Abraham you're on your own on this one you're not going to trust me figure it out for yourself no, God would not allow abimelech to touch Sarah, her womb was going to bring forth the son of Promise Isaac who would eventually bring forth the tribes of Israel through his grandchildren and eventually bring forth God's Messiah." [00:11:12]

"Abraham was in sin because he was trusting in his own efforts to protect himself and his wife instead of trusting the Lord, but even though Abraham was in sin he was still a prophet and he was still a man of powerful prayer, God's mercy did not leave Abraham even though Abraham wasn't trusting God the way that he should have at that moment." [00:12:25]

"Abraham said, because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place and they will kill me on account of my wife but indeed she is truly my sister she's the daughter of my father but not the daughter of my mother and she became my wife and it came to pass when God caused me to wander from my father's house that I said to her this is your kindness that you should do for me." [00:16:23]

"Abraham came to garar where abimelech was the king of the city, and what did he say, surely the fear of God is not in this place, that was his excuse or at least his first excuse for this sinful deception, prevents the real problem here was not again in this situation that the fear of God wasn't in gerar the real problem was that in this situation the fear of God wasn't in Abraham." [00:17:11]

"Abimelech took sheep oxen and male and female servants and gave them to Abraham and He restored Sarah his wife to him and abimelech said see my land is before you dwell where it pleases you, then to Sarah he said behold I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver indeed this vindicates you before all who are with you and before everybody, thus she was rebuked." [00:22:01]

"Jesus is the man of perfect Integrity in contrast to Abraham now friends no doubt about it Abraham was a godly man he's called the friend of God he's declared righteous by faith in just a two few chapters we're going to see him come to a Summit Peak of faith and experience with the Lord Abraham was a godly man there's no doubt about it but friends don't miss it he wasn't perfect." [00:27:14]

"Jesus is the man Jesus is the one who always protects his bride, again in contrast to Abraham, think about it that there's the one who always protects his bride, Abraham left Sarah to the will and The Wiles of abimelech and if God would not have supernaturally stepped in and protected Sarah who knows what could have happened now praise the Lord that the Lord stepped in." [00:28:17]

"Hebrews chapter 7 verse 25 says that he always lives to make intercession for them, brother sister Jesus Christ prays for you if you are accounted among his people if you are born again by God's spirit please understand he lives to make intercession for you and even if it were true that nobody on Earth prays for you then you have the best intercessor in heaven Jesus Christ."
