#GetOutOfTheBoat
“``And then finally, just stop letting your emotions run you away. Stop letting emotion emotions are a great describer, but they're a horrible leader. You gotta get out of the boat. Safety is not in the things that you think they are. Safety is in the god who calls you onto the water. Preacher, you don't understand. I've got this going on. I've got so much going on. There's no way. Get out of the boat. Get out of the boat and get out of your head worried about what you can and cannot control, and follow him. Stop worrying about the things around you, listen to the savior who calls you. Leave all those things you think are security, and follow the one who can make you the most secure. Just walk to Jesus.”

#EyesOnJesus
“We're tired physically. We're emotionally exhausted. We're emotionally mentally exhausted. We're emotionally spent. But here's the thing. I know that Jesus still calls us on the water to hear him. He calls us on the water to walk with him, and he calls us to let you know that no matter what the waves look like, he's right there. Notice in this verse that when Peter starts sinking, it's not because of the storm. It's because he took out his eyes off of Jesus.”

#TrustToStep
“Nothing of this passage makes sense, especially when you and I see the example that it's to trust God. Why leave the safety, the security, the crowd of people around him? Why leave the boat to step out to a figure that you may or may not know is Jesus? Because you're tired, because you're mentally exhausted, because you're emotionally exhausted, because it's three in the morning. Don't trust anything you see at three in the morning. Here's the question I want us to ask today and answer. Do you trust god enough to get out of the boat?”

#StepIntoFaith
“But in order for that to happen, You and I have to take a step. Peter's faith didn't start with saying, lord, is that you? Peter's faith started when he stepped out of the boat. You and I need to step. Some of you need to step to him for the very first time today and find salvation. Some of you need to step back to him because you've left this life so crazy, because it's been ridiculous, but you've missed his presence. And some of you need to quit kicking the tires, holding on to the back of the fuse because we have claw marks, and come to Jesus today.”
