#GodAtWorkAlways
“``And essentially, what God is saying by the end, he says, I'm at work, Elijah. I work in big ways like Mount Carmel. I work in the earthquakes and the great wind. I went the the standoff you had. I showed up. I did the things that show. I backed you up and I did that. But I also work in the very small ways. The ways that are imperceptible. The ways that you can't see. And in that moment of weariness and challenge, don't give up. Trust me. You might not see it. You might not hear it, but I'm at work in these ways that perhaps no one will see until that moment. Trust me. Hang on and look for my voice.”

#TrustInLittleThings
“We're supposed to learn from Elijah's negative example. And Jesus is positive that we're supposed to not get so discouraged and weary and give up, not get so discouraged and weary and make our own decisions and start saying, well, I guess that I'm just forget it, God. I'm out. I'm done. I'm tired. He's saying, no. Would you trust me? I'm at work in the little things. That's when he asked the second question. I think he wanted Elijah's response to go, oh, you work in the big and the small even when I can barely hear it.”

#DontRunFromGodsVoice
“The first time he asked the question, it because of location. fact, Elijah's ministry was driven by the voice of God. And he was he would respond to the voice of God and go. And when Elijah flees to the desert or the wilderness, did you know look at verse three again. Verse three, it simply says this, after Jezebel's threat, it says, Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. He took off. Elijah was not following the voice of God as he had done his entire ministry. What was he doing? He was simply responding to the threat. And he was responding. He was saying, Lord, I'm done. I'm through. Potentially, he ran to the wilderness to die.”

#FightFaithFatigue
“Sometimes our faith gets really, really tired. Sometimes in your relationship and journey with the Lord, there's a weariness, a difficulty, a a a struggle with that. We we feel the fatigue is a phrase, but I'm tired and weary to my bones. Sometimes I feel tired and weary to my soul. heart is tired. And sometimes in the journey of faith can feel that fatigue and there can be temptations and challenges in those moments of the weariness of our faith. Sometimes even to give up or disconnect stop praying, stop attending church, stop engaging in community.”

#PersevereInPrayer
“we've prayed some great prayers in our lives and yet we didn't see things happening and we gave up on those prayers. That's you and you felt like that was a a focus from the Lord and you've you've just walked away from that ministry of prayer for whatever that is, maybe it for a person, maybe for a ministry, maybe for a new work. Would you just confess? Lord, I'm sorry. Give me your perseverance. Holy Spirit, fill me again with your strength. Maybe it's a dream, an activity that was placed in your heart by God, a ministry, and you weren't supposed to let it go, but you have. Talk to the Lord about that.”

#ListenToHisVoice
“Again, the voice of God. Not a thin whisper, but a clear declaration really symbolic of Moses representing the law, Elijah representing the prophets, and all that authority given to Jesus. And now the voice isn't just affirming the ministry of Jesus, but he's saying, listen to him. He's saying to the disciples and you and me, listen to him, his voice.”

#PeopleOfTheVoice
“you've got this consistency of God's voice. Thin voice, gentle whisper in first Kings 19. But then in the ministry of Jesus, his baptism, and then his transfiguration, the voice gets louder in that moment. And then the two witnesses, potentially Elijah and Moses, and the voice gets loud from heaven and declares. What does that mean? I'm not exactly sure. It's just really cool. Way cool. And what it means to me is that we're supposed to be people of the voice of God.”

#PrayForRelationshipWithJesus
“I thought of my mom who prayed for all three of us kids. And and my mom was a woman of prayer, and she prayed and prayed and prayed. And you know what she prayed for us? She didn't pray that we would have a good life and be responsible citizens. That was not the focus of her prayer. Guess what the focus of her prayer was? That we would have a relationship with Jesus. She believed that was the most important thing.”
