#WorshipIsSurrender
“``Because if you only do what feels right to you, you've made yourself the ultimate authority in your life, and that's a problem. Proverbs three says that trust does not begin with everything finally making sense. That trust actually begins when we stop making ourselves the authority. And folks, that's what worship really is. It's more than a song and more than a raised hand. It's a surrendered heart. We're saying not my will be done, but God your will be done.”

#TrustGodFully
“We say we're people of faith. We say we trust the Lord. But the reality is that we trust ourselves than we trust god. More than we trust his word, more than we trust his ways. That's the tension that we live with. We want clarity before we will obey and we want answers before we will fully surrender and we want to remain in control and we still wanna call it faith. But the Bible gives us a radically different message. Instead of following our heart, Proverbs says, trust in the Lord with all your heart. It's not follow your heart, it's trust in the Lord with all your heart. It doesn't say to lean on your own understanding. It actually says, don't lean on your own understanding.”

#SurrenderFeelings
“And that is contradicting to how we feel and how we operate. Your feelings may be strong, but they're not always true. Your understanding, it may make perfect sense to you, but you can't see everything that God sees. You don't know what he's doing. And here's the question, the question isn't what feels right to me, but rather the question we really need to consider is, do I trust God to surrender what feels right to me? Do I trust the Lord enough to surrender what feels right to me? Because if you only do what feels right to you, you've made yourself the ultimate authority in your life, and that's a problem.”

#NoPartialTrust
“That's what Proverbs is saying. He says, all of your heart because partial trust is still you being the ultimate authority. Partial trust is you being in control. And there's a if there's an area in your life that you won't surrender, that's an area where you trust yourself more than you trust God. Could be a marriage. Could be your job. Could be your finances. You know, I mean, the list could go on and on. It could be anything, anything in your life. If you trust, if you're having a hard time surrendering that whatever it is, the ultimate issue is that you trust yourself more than you trust God.”
