#FutureObedience
“``Jesus continually chose future obedience. See, the devil was trying to give him all of this without what? The cross. And Jesus knew he had to endure the cross. And so for us in this teaching, when I look at this, I'm like, okay, lord, what in my life am I am I bowing to some immediate rewards instead of continually being faithful in the pursuit of future obedience? I know it's hard when you are parenting and your kids think you're dumb and you don't know anything, but you know you gotta keep the foundation right. You gotta keep going the right direction. I know when people look down on you at work and you're but you're being faithful to your family. You're showing up when no one else is showing up. You're speaking life to those employees. Are you gonna choose future obedience?”

#ChooseObedience
“And so, why did that happen in the springtime at the time when kings go off to war? David did not. See, this is where the enemy will get you when things and people and situations and schedules are are so out of whack and pulling you different directions. You feel the safest place is in retreating and that's not the safest place. See, the safest place is not the easiest place. It is the place of obedience, church. Do y'all hear me? The safest place is not the easiest place. It is the place of obedience. See, David was safer on the battlefield than he was in the palace. And everybody in the world would have told David differently. David, man, you just go hide up there. Man, you've been I know it's been tough. You just go you just keep retreat, man. You just keep to the palace, do your king's stuff, What you wanna use. Be you, David. When somebody should've said, David, you're called by God. You're a king. You're a leader. Get out there and lead the people. Right?”

#DontDecideInEmotion
“See, and then we can see that sometimes in our life, we're we're just like Esau. See, hunger wasn't the problem church because everybody gets hey, everybody gets hangry. Well, probably. Everybody gets hungry. See, his problem was that he he evaluated eternal things while under temporary pressure. Is y'all y'all y'all picking on what I'm putting down? So, he has these big spiritual decisions. We have these big spiritual decisions and we're trying to make them when we're lonely, when we're afraid, when we're exhausted, when we're angry, rejected, and discouraged. We're trying to make these big decisions when we're in a place that we shouldn't be making decisions.”

#DelayGratification
“Now, listen to me. All of this can be boiled down to two words, instant gratification. This is the moment it should hit everyone of us right in the face and be like, oh, well, how do I do this? And listen to me, don't give up what you want most for what you want now. Do you all hear me? I'm gonna say it again, so everybody need to write this one down. Don't give up what you want most for what you want now. Some of you have a dream for for a job, a career, a family, a marriage, a lifestyle, a a a a mindset of mental health and you have all of these things that you are desiring. Don't give up what you want most for what you want now.”
