#GraceNotWorks
“Can I just tell you the truth? There is no deal in with the man upstairs. You don't get to make a bargain with god. You don't get to make a deal with god. There's a holy god and there's a sinful humanity. There's a a debt that you cannot pay and there's the the debt that Jesus Christ went to the cross and paid in full. You don't get to negotiate your way to heaven and you don't get to manufacture your own goodness and somehow earn enough religious credit to balance the scale in your life so that one day when you stand before God, that he would say, hey, you did a pretty good job. We're even. It's not gonna happen. The debt you owe God is unpayable. You can't do enough good works or be good enough to pay God what he has asked for. And that's why Jesus came. Jesus came to hang on a cross and to say, it is finished.”

#UnforgivenessRoots
“What you refuse to release eventually will take root in your life. Now think about, listen to me. Okay? If you hold on to unforgiveness, at some point, at some time, it's going to take root in your heart. And that root eventually will bear fruit in your life. And what does that fruit look like? It looks like anger, resentment, being cynical, seeking revenge, growing suspicious of people, a lack of trust, relational dysfunction, a lack of peace, a lack of joy because there's this root of bitterness that's bearing fruit in your life.”

#SavedByGrace
“But if you will call on the name of Jesus Christ, the bible says that all who call on the name of Jesus will be saved. That God will give you his grace. Salvation will come to you, not because you earn it, not because you worked hard, but because by faith you believe on Jesus Christ. Jesus is the truth. He's the way. He's the life. We just sing about it. And when you accept Jesus, here's what happens. God credits the righteousness of Christ into your account. And when God looks at you, he doesn't see the debt that you owe. He sees the debt that has been paid in full by Jesus.”

#ForgiveForFreedom
“And the message here is this, when you refuse to forgive others, you build a prison with your own resentment and your anger and the need for revenge. You suffer, not them. And God is saying forgive. Because he just wants us to be more forgiving. No. God is saying forgive because he loves you. He loves you so much that he doesn't want you to walk through this life in a prison that you've built. He wants you to experience the freedom of Christ, to walk in that freedom.”
