#baptismIsNotSalvation
“Listen, if you get baptized without trusting Christ, you know what you got? You got wet. And so, those works, those good works, and we could even use the the term rituals and and things that we do in that regard in reference maybe to those religious activities that we do, they're good works. But they cannot save and they are insufficient. Listen, not just to save, they are insufficient to keep you from the judgment of God.”

“The danger of religion is feeling either that I can earn God's favor by doing good enough, or what happens is in the doing of it, what I get is a false sense of security that me and God are good. That me I'm okay with God because I'm doing this, but you're not. You're not okay. If you're banking on the the religious good works to try to be right with God, they are simply in insufficient.”

#heritageIsntSalvation
“They were banking on their their upbringing. They were banking on their their religious heritage and background and culture as the the means by which they're they were right with God. And that was really what their hope was in. So they're thinking this, we we are the people of God, we are the nation of God, so we are safe. We're safe from the judgment of God. But here's what's clear. Religious association, religious culture, religious heritage, background of any way does not, and and hear me, it does not equal salvation.”

#GodDoesntGradeOnACurve
“But what you're going to find in the book of Romans here, especially in the first three chapters is this, God does not grade on a curve. When it comes to the situation of humanity, immoral, moral, religious, are guilty. God does not grade on a curve. All of them, all of us, no matter where we might fall in those categories, have a major problem.”
