39s
“And and brothers and sisters, this is the key to to worship. The key to worship is actually looking at Christ. It's gazing upon Christ. It's meditating on Christ. It's considering Christ. And see, when Christ is not the object of our worship, then the behaviors of worship, trusting God, obeying God, whatever it is, it becomes such a drag. It it doesn't work. Eventually, you will burn out. Trying to follow Christ without worshiping Christ over the course of time will be impossible.”

“And if you try to trust Jesus and obey Jesus without seeing Jesus, eventually you're gonna you're gonna throw in the towel. Over the course of time, when you try to go through the behaviors of Christianity without seeing Christ, then the scriptures will feel like a book that's restricting you from all the fun things in life. You'll become focused on all the things you cannot do and all the things that you're giving up instead of worshiping Christ, instead of Christ being the great treasure of our lives. And so many Christians, they they think Christianity is lame. It's not all that, satisfying, and it's typically because they're not actually looking at Christ.”

“What does the true worship of God look like? It it is offering ourselves. God is not after our stuff. He's not like, I just want your money. I want your perfume, or I want your house, or I want your car. I want your collectibles. That's not what he's after. He's not after our stuff. He's interested in us. He wants us. And so you will give your best. You will give yourself someone or something. That's the way we're wired. You will. And you will joyfully and voluntarily give yourself to whomever or whatever seems glorious to you. Whatever is glorious before your eyes, you will give yourself to that person or that thing.”
