True Freedom: Liberation Through Christ's Grace

Summary

In John 8:34-36, Jesus speaks of a profound freedom that only He can provide. This freedom is not the fleeting, conditional freedom that the world offers, but a deep, lasting liberation from the bondage of sin and the burdens of life. The world and the devil may promise freedom, but their offers come with strings attached and ultimately lead to disappointment and further enslavement. In contrast, the freedom that Jesus offers is genuine and eternal, without hidden agendas or conditions. It is a freedom that liberates us from the pressures, anxieties, and fears that often plague our lives.

This freedom in Christ is not something we earn or deserve; it is a gift of grace. It is a freedom that allows us to live without fear of the past, present, or future. Jesus' freedom is comprehensive, freeing us from addictions, fears, and the chains of our past mistakes. It is a freedom that empowers us to live fully and authentically as children of God, without shame or guilt. When Jesus sets us free, we are free indeed, free to pursue our God-given potential and calling.

The story of Israel's exodus from Egypt serves as a powerful illustration of this freedom. Just as God delivered the Israelites from centuries of bondage in a single night, He can deliver us from our own chains, setting us free to walk in our divine purpose. This freedom is not just about breaking chains; it is about being freed up to live a life of victory and purpose. In Christ, we are not just free from sin, but we are free to be who God created us to be, without any limitations or restrictions.

Quotes

Jesus answered them verily verily I say unto you whosoever committed sin as of or is the servant of sin The servant abideth not in the house forever but the son abideth forever If the son therefore shall make you free you shall be free indeed If the son makes you free we we would kind of say it like this He the son sets free as free indeed There's another translation that that renders it you will really be free If Jesus sets you free you will really be free. [00:01:09]

There's no freedom like the freedom that the Lord gives The world offers a freedom but it's not real freedom The devil will offer a a a a form if you will of freedom but it there's always strings attached The world whatever it offers has strings attached There's no freedom like Jesus gives That's what we were just singing about The the name of Jesus Jesus for our family Jesus for our friends Jesus from the housetops Jesus for the mountain top Jesus from that That's what this is about It's about freedom living for the Lord. [00:02:17]

The freedom that Jesus gives is a lasting forever freedom There there are no strings attached There's nothing held back There's no hidden there there's no small print There's no agenda in in the back somewhere Whatever Jesus gives us it it it is to help us to be to live a whole completely free life Free from from free of pressure free of of past free of worries free of stress free of anxiety free of the fear of people free of of the fear of of pain or the the future times or the end times or what's going to happen in our families. [00:04:43]

Addictions are nothing to the Lord And and the world the world would say it could help us with it but it can't give us true it can't give us bonafide help like we need struggles of life difficulties the there's there's therapy that will help us to a degree but it can't help us like Jesus can help us He the he who the son helps will really be helped That's right And we don't have to worry about h how things will fall out Just going to leave that in the Lord's hands There there there there are troubles that that that can come to us in life that we have to leave in the in the Lord's hands. [00:06:23]

When he comes on the scene the the we're all all old all old things are passed away All things become new When Jesus comes on the scene the the regrets of yesterday are under the blood The mistakes of last week are under the blood When Jesus comes on the scene the mistakes the failures the the troubles are short It's all under the blood of Jesus that that's why there's a freedom with this that that can't be defined by man's philosophy and logic and that it's it's so far supersedes all what man can do He the son sets free will really be free. [00:07:15]

I appreciate the Lord here this morning who says if you if we'll just let him do it he'll take over He'll move on the scene He'll come in and he'll change things up for us He'll reset things for us He'll revive and renew and restore some things for us And he'll he he'll give us freedom Where we thought we had freedom we'll really have freedom Where we thought we had hope we will really have some hope Amen Where we thought everything was going to be okay well we got a good report Well we we we got a good session and all that's good All that's great. [00:10:29]

And what all the doctors could not do Jesus did it with one word when he told the devils to go I like that preaching He was probably years trying to get help but Jesus gave him a two-letter word Go to the devils He was set free Lift your hands in his presence right now And I want you to give God glory and thanks Come on He's a setting free God right now right on your pew right in your marriage right in your own personal situation in your home in your family in your finances in your body He's a setting free God. [00:25:01]

The world looks at us crazy That's okay It's all right We've been set free We were bound We were locked up like they were But someday some way somehow Jesus came in and I became free Let's get up on our feet right now Let's give the Lord the biggest praise of this morning Come on Come on up here musicians Come on Give the Lord a mighty praise Amen He's worthy this morning He's worthy Thank God for the blood of Jesus Thank God for the cross at Calvary Thank God for the Holy Ghost power Thank God for what Jesus can do. [00:19:47]

[00:22:44]

But thanks be to God there's a stronger power than that And that power is in this place this morning Come on That power is here today That power is here right now It's a chain breaking chain breaking disease destroying mindchanging hopegiving power that hell can't touch it. [00:22:10]
