#ChoicesHaveConsequences
“we all wanna be the person who figures out everything and and decides everything for our own life. I wanna do what I wanna do. But the part that Satan doesn't tell you is, sure, you might be happy for a moment when you do what you wanna do, but then you end up with the consequences later. So are you really happy? No. You're not. He didn't say that side of it. Right? This is how he works. This is how he works. It is so classic. I want I wanna do this so bad. You do it, and then now you have consequences. Oh, no. I've got consequences. And then the same person who says, you should do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Afterwards, he you're so bad. You're so awful. What a loser you are. You're such a loser. God does not wanna be around you. No. No. You know what? Instead, go after this. This will make you happy. This will be happy. And then they go do it. Right? Don't we do it? We do it. And then there's consequences. You're such a loser.”

#ResistWorldlyTemptation
“Like I read that one verse about Solomon. Right? Once. Yeah. I read that verse about Solomon and and he says, you know, saw it all of it was vanity. All of it was vanity and vanity. Maybe I heard that, like, once how many times? But what do I hear every single day and every advertisement? You know, you need to go to Burger King. We're gonna blah blah blah. You know? Lord sends me chicken commercials because I love me some chicken wings, and it's constantly the temptations are come on and on and on, and you've got to be able to resist it, and you just can't. The only way to do this is to have Jesus in your heart.”

#SurrenderAndTrust
“After that year of me just kinda doing whatever I wanted, I was a mess. Okay? I could not get a loan, I blew my credit, I didn't know what I was gonna do with the future, and I got to the point where I was, like, rock bottom, where hope was just leaving me, and I did not know what I was gonna do. And at that point, I didn't I didn't have any hold of what my career was gonna be. and I just came to Jesus, and I said, well, okay. Well, all I gotta do is everything you say, and then it's all gonna turn out alright. I mean, doesn't that sound so simple? I don't need to know what I'm gonna do tomorrow, what I need to invent. I don't need to know any of that stuff. All I gotta know is do what Jesus tells me, walk with him, and it's all gonna turn out alright. And at that point, said, cool.”

#GratitudeOverAnxiety
“So there was a study done where they checked the brain activity of people when they have worry, when they have anxiety. And they the part of the brain that that is stimulated by that lights up. Right? And then they found coincidentally that the part of the brain that when you think of, like, blessings, when you think of gratitude, that's the same part of the brain that lights up. And and what was theorized is, well, you can't have both at the same time. So if you're grateful, you can't be anxious. You know? I get anxious. And so the this pastor who was talking about this says, well, so I did a little I did a little thing where I decided I'm gonna every time I get anxious, I'm gonna start writing down all the things that I'm grateful for. And I said, and it worked. Like, the anxiety went away. And he would write it down and write it down. And after a while, he didn't have to write it down because it was in his heart.”

#StopPlayingGod
“Even food. But the thing that really got Eve was when he said, you will be like god. That's what got her. And we are all obsessed with being our own god. I mean, why do you think the superhero thing, the Marvel thing is such a big deal? All they do is have all this incredible power, just cross out the god part. Right? We're men. We're people. We can do all these amazing things. Just cancel out the god because we are our own gods. All of us wanna be our own gods. When I was young young and dumb, I wanted to be my own god. I wanna do whatever I wanted to do. Because Satan says, you'll be happier if you get this, if you do that, if you you know? That's how he says. And I was young and dumb, I went and did it.”

#ArmorOfChrist
“So I always say, you know, I need to pray more. Well, maybe it's maybe it's time. Isn't it? I would say I need to read the word. The only truth in this world is the word. Any man or woman who's talking to you is influenced so easily by Satan. He's got them in the palm of his hands, and they're telling you what to do. No. We need to go to the word, and I need to read the word more. And so maybe it's time that I do that. Because if we're gonna do the impossible, if we're gonna be able to get past Satan and all his machinations and all his influence, then we're gonna need the armor of Christ. Right?”

#NeverEnoughTrap
“Right? Isn't that what the world wants you to do? Just take that next step. Just go a little closer. Just a little bit more. Just a little. You almost gotta keep coming. That's what the world is. And at the point, you get to the very, very end, and they keep saying, if you were only just a little bit. You'll have all your dreams, you'll be happy if only you could just have a little bit more money. You'll be really really happy if only you could just be a little bit more smarter. Or if you could act more confident than you could, you know. Or if you could whatever it is, just a little bit a little bit, whatever you don't have, that's what you need, and just keep going. On and on and on, and it never ends.”

#FaithNotFortune
“And so what we have to do is guess. Right? Like, I've been told so many things. Like, I I had people tell me, you need to invest in this. This is gonna blow up, you know. My daughter invested in Disney because she really liked Disney, and and then the money just like swiveled away because like Marvel did terrible after a while and, you know, like, how are supposed to know? How are you supposed to know what's gonna happen tomorrow? Adventist. You know, I love I love Adventists. I'm an Adventist. I'm a raging Adventist. We know that Jesus is gonna come, and we know that there's gonna be a time of tribulation where we're gonna have to run away. We're gonna have to drop everything. We're gonna have to run away. And many Adventists goes, you know what? Maybe I should get a house out in Idaho. How do you know it's gonna be safe in Idaho? You don't. I'm gonna go out in the middle of nowhere. How do you know it's gonna be safe there? Because you don't. There's only one safe place. Guys, and that's in Jesus.”
