#ThanksgivingEqualsJoy
“``showed us the way. And then the final thing I'll say is thanksgiving is the key to joy in your life. Complaining is gonna steal your joy. Thanksgiving will elevate God over the trial because they can't live at the same place. Either the trial's the most important thing or God's the most important thing in your life. Alright? And they can't live. So thanksgiving elevates God over the trial and puts the trial in this rightful place. Hey, you're smaller than this. When we begin to complain, we put the trial above God and say, God, this trial is bigger than you. Thanksgiving will release joy in your life, or complaining will release bitterness in your life.”

#ChooseGratitude
“How do we choose joy in the trial? I choose to rely on God instead of myself. And I choose to be grateful with what I have and what God is doing in my life through the trial. That's how you find joy. I choose to rely on God and say, God, you're my source. I I'm not gonna try to muster up my own strength. I'm not gonna try to figure it out myself. I'm gonna choose you. You're gonna show me. And I choose to be grateful for what you've done in my life and what you are doing even in the midst of this trial.”

#GodComfortInStorm
“God sees all this and he hurts with us. And I think the first thing we have to say is that God is not the author of your pain and suffering. He's not teaching you a lesson. Satan is the author of this. He wants to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give life and life abundantly. You need to hear this today. He's a good, loving father. There is peace and joy and comfort in the storm that only Christ can give. It's a grace that we can't explain. It's available to us all. If you've gone through something, people go, I don't know how you're getting through this. And you're like, I don't know either. I don't know how people do without the without Christ in the church. I don't know how people make it honestly. How do you make it?”

#BuildSpiritualEndurance
“So when you stay up under the weight, you develop some muscles. When you stay up under the weight and you but but you don't understand you're you're not really holding the weight. God's holding the weight, but God's he's giving you a little bit. I'm gonna give you a little bit so you feel it, you can get a bit stronger, but I'm actually taking the weight off. You develop this endurance instead of running away. Instead of numbing out or checking out. You have to say, God, I'm gonna go through this. I don't wanna go through this. I don't want this. I'm going through the fire because I know you're with me and you're not gonna leave me. I choose to go through the hard thing because I know what it's gonna produce in my life. And endurance has this full effect in your life and you grow in maturity, you grow in wholeness, and you lack nothing.”

#TrialsExposeFaith
“Number one, I don't know, these aren't really in order, but trials and hardships expose and reveal what you really believe about God in your life. Your faith in him and trust in him or your lack thereof. When you go through a trial, you need to listen to what comes out of your mouth. It will reveal a lot. That's the whole purpose of trials. It will reveal, do I really believe God's in control or do I really believe, he's up there, but he's not really taking care of me, or he's got other thing. You know, I always hear that. Well, God's got other things to worry about. Well, you know what? God is big. He can worry about everybody else, everybody at the same time. He's got the ability to do it, and he cares about, he says, the little, even the hairs on your head. He cares about everything.”

#TrialsPropelDestiny
“And and I think about this often when I'm going through a trial because Goliath was actually the trial or obstacle God was using to propel David into his destiny. Let me say that again. Goliath was actually the trial or the obstacle that God was using to propel David into his destiny. And many times, we come up against a trial and immediately we we start cowering, don't we? Oh my gosh, Lord, where are you in all this stuff? You you just left me and all this stuff. God, you you you don't care about me, god. I mean, that's how we go. And God's saying, I put this thing in front of you so that you could overcome it because I got somewhere to take you. I mean, that's a good word, guys. And I I the trial you're going through, it's testing your faith and your unbelief or your belief in God's ability to steward your life. How are you going to look at it?”

#TestingProducesEndurance
“Now, two words I wanna highlight in there. Testing and endurance. You know that the testing of your faith produces what? It's an examination process that produces endurance. What is the word endurance? The word has to do with patience, perseverance, the ability to stay put when you wanna run. The ability to endure hard things and to hold up under heavy weights when everybody else retreats. Ain't that so good? Isn't that a great picture? The testing of your faith produces endurance.”

#GodsWisdomNotKnowledge
“He's saying this, we need wisdom to get through this trial. But we don't need the world's wisdom. We need God's wisdom to get through this trial. We don't know how we're gonna overcome this, but God, knowledge is different than wisdom. Knowledge is information. Wisdom is discernment on what to do with that information. There are people with multiple letters behind their name with all their degrees that have zero wisdom. They got ton of knowledge. And there are people that don't even have a high school diploma that are very wise because they know what to do. The wisdom gives us the ability to say, I understand all the information here, but now what do I do with that information? And so God's saying, I wanna give you wisdom.”
