8) "The only thing that will get you through is a intimate relationship with jesus christ so we're gonna pray and this is i'm gonna lead you all for for those of you who've been around here i i rarely let a week go by that i don't lead our entire congregation in what some would call a sinner's prayer it's an opportunity really just to help people put their faith in jesus christ and i always say something like this the simple truth is that we were born into a sinful world in a sinful state in need of a savior every one of us okay products of adam and eve born into sin but god loved us so much that he chose not to leave us in that sinful state and said he sent his son jesus who was born of virgin birth and lived a completely sinless life yet willingly died a sinner's death on a cross to pay for my sin and your sin and the sins of the world okay and and what he did in doing that is he made it possible for us to not have to pay the wages of that sin which is death but we can have eternal life because of him and the way we do that is simply by putting our faith in jesus confessing with our mouth that he is lord and believing in our heart that god's raised him from the dead we make a decision to serve him to ask him to forgive us of our sins and we walk forward new and doing our best to follow him and to live a righteous life and by the way if you mess up just confess and repent and keep going okay you there's no being good enough to qualify for salvation he paid it all you're qualified you don't have to wait till you get to a certain place you don't have to wait you don't have to wait till you get to a certain place you overcome this addiction or that addiction. You don't have to wait until you get over this, this agitation or that agitation until you learn to forgive this person. No, you come just the way you are.
