Community transformation sounds like a ridiculous claim for a local church. I mean you're supposed to like add to the community you're supposed to be a part but like you're going to transform the community that sounds ridiculous unless you know Jesus Hallelujah and it can be done through Jesus in fact Jesus's mission statement was Community transformation. [00:01:21]

The love of Jesus says to poor people you don't have to stay the way you are amen you're physically we we think of poor we think of they don't have any money that's true but you could be poor in health you could be poor in spirit you could be poor in mental health you're struggling with addiction you're you're struggling with with some kind of depression or something like that your relationships could be poor you could have a poor family structure. [00:03:16]

The closer you get to Christ the center of this the more like Christ you'll become amen and the closer you are to the outer edge of this the more like the world you will become and discipleship is not about where you are discipleship is all about movement am I moving am I where I I want you to understand I've been all over this board at some point in my life but I'm moving you know and are you moving. [00:09:50]

Jesus wants us all moving in that direction in fact I want to show you Jesus's last prayer that's recorded in scripture before he went to the Cross because it's a prayer about you and for you he says I pray also for those who will believe in me through this message that all of them may be what one one father just as you and I are one may they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. [00:11:58]

Unity is not Unison okay Unison is when everybody sings the exact same note okay Unity is beautiful Unison is boring and it's usually fake what we want is harmony harmony is when everybody sings their own note but they blend beautifully you can't have beautiful music with one singer I mean I guess you can but like you can't have the fullness of it until all the voices come together and they blend together. [00:15:12]

If you have Unity with more than one person okay if it's your marriage your family a team if it's your Workforce if you have Unity it will be because you worked at it it is not natural it doesn't come without hard work again Paul wrote to the church he founded in Ephesus he said make every effort everybody say every effort to keep the unity of of the spirit through the bond of Peace. [00:18:00]

The default condition of our world is not toward unity and order but it's toward chaos and so it's going to take a lot of effort to stay in unity there's going to be differences and one of the things we got to be careful of is don't be sucked into the world's fights okay we're swimming in a world of division today a lot of political division they tried to draw Jesus into politics but he didn't take debate. [00:18:34]

The church is filled with unrealistic expectations but the church is filled with Sinners okay imperfect people broken people and so group of think about this this is rational a group of imperfect people will never create a perfect Community right it's just not POS we would all agree that that a group of imperfect people couldn't create something imperfect and and our whole planet is proof of this because everything on this planet is broken. [00:23:04]

Longing for the ideal while criticizing the real is spiritual immaturity Hall thank you I'm going to say that again don't you just let that sink in because it happens every day in the church longing for the ideal while criticizing the real is spiritual immaturity and settling for the real without striving for the ideal is complacency for more than 20 years I have lived in the Reel of dayar church and I've loved the whole 20 years. [00:25:29]

God has not called you to attend the ideal Church he's called you to serve the real church and there's a difference yes last thing I want to share with you that Paul said to the church at Ephesus he said be paid patient with each other come on turn to somebody say be patient with me chill out don't be judging be patient with each other and I love this making allowances for each other's faults because of what love love. [00:27:12]

Love is the doorway to the power of God that breaks the strongholds of hell out of people's lives amen we really do love the hell out of you that's how it's done and so the question I have for you is which one of these are you some of you been wondering what is that thing on his platform see one of these is a thermometer and it just says what the temperature is if it's 78° it just says it's hot in here. [00:30:37]

This over here though is a thermostat it changes the temperature it says it don't have to be hot anymore we can bring the temperature down it don't have to be like it is things can change and listen this is who you're not there's a world full of this that's why this is bigger you're called to be this one Hallelujah you are called by the power and the love of Jesus to change the culture around us.
