Day 1: Transformation from Within

In our spiritual journey, transformation through Christ is both an internal and external process. Just as a pumpkin is cleaned and carved to shine light, Jesus cleanses us and fills us with His light. This transformation requires ongoing repentance and commitment to His ways. When we come to Jesus, He begins a work in us that changes our hearts and minds, allowing His light to shine through us. This is not a one-time event but a continual process of growth and renewal. As we walk with Christ, we are called to let go of old habits and embrace a new way of living that reflects His love and grace. [17:28]

Day 2: Living Set Apart

Living set apart means choosing a path that strengthens our devotion to God, rather than conforming to the ways of the world. The people of Israel in Nehemiah 10 recognized the importance of recommitting themselves to God, understanding that living like the world leads to compromise. As followers of Christ, we are called to be in the world but not of it, maintaining our focus on Christ and His teachings. This requires intentionality and a willingness to stand firm in our faith, even when it goes against the grain of societal norms. we're getting close to the end of our journey in nehemiah and as we get close we see that it is less about the kind of the challenges of starting from complete brokenness to a place where there is some wholeness and healing in the people of nehemiah but they're realizing at this point that their healing and wholeness isn't actually wholeness at all there's things that continue to pop up that they need to repent and turn from and commit to the lord [00:33:41] (32 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

It's always this, your spiritual walk isn't just an uphill climb to salvation. Jesus, it is this climb where we do good for a while, and then we kind of level off, and we go forward, and we go, and Lord willing, it isn't always an upward trend, but it is this following great, then not so much, then coming back, and that's where the people in Nehemiah are at. Living set apart keeps our devotion strong. In Nehemiah, they're talking about, you shouldn't marry non -Christians. In that day, it was non -Jews. I'm going to be honest with you. I realized this in my own life where when I would cut corners and kind of be like, well, God's got grace. I would start to follow and I wouldn't be able to follow God. I wouldn't be able to hear the Holy Spirit as well in my life. As we follow and offer our whole lives up as sacrifices to him going, you know, I know God says we shouldn't do that. So I'm not going to do that.
