It's important to understand that when we pray things like that, sometimes they're dangerous prayers, right? There's such thing as a dangerous prayer. Now, when I say dangerous, it doesn't mean prayers that cause physical harm or invite evil. When I say dangerous, it means prayers that are considered out of one's comfort zone or maybe complacency or their self -reliance or maybe their current way of life. Sometimes we pray dangerous prayers. Prayers that take us away from what we're comfortable from. See, they are prayers that invite God to disrupt the status quo and to challenge us in doing something different. [00:46:50] (50 seconds)

And before that to happen, I have to be broken. Break my pride. Break my selfishness. Break my arrogance. Break my unthankfulness. Break me, Lord. [00:50:39] (21 seconds)

No, we need to be broken. And we need to be rebuilt. We need to be repaired. And we need to be made into that masterpiece. And the breaking process can be painful. It involves trials. [00:51:42] (15 seconds)

Send me, Lord, is an open offer to God to be able to use you in ways that maybe you've never thought of before. It can lead to obviously leaving your comfort zones or moving geographically or changing careers or facing opposition in serving God. [00:56:01] (24 seconds)

Point out in me, God, the things that don't please you. Let me know, Lord. What is it that I'm doing that's causing you to be sad? So why is this prayer dangerous? It asks God to expose hidden sins or wrong motives or, dare I say, character flaws. [00:48:50] (25 seconds)

And the best way to make prayer relational is to move beyond those five basic steps we just talked about and to start really communicating with God because that's what it is. It's communication with our Father, with our Creator, with our Savior, with our Protector. That's what it is, communicating with him. [00:41:03] (31 seconds)

There's benefits that we find in praying. Plenty of them. And we're not even going to be able to touch on a little tiny tip of an iceberg today on some of those things. See, we should constantly be knocking on that door. We should be constantly seeking him. And we should be constantly talking to him all day long in prayer. [00:42:25] (25 seconds)
