Evidence is actually very important. Important evidence. God never asks us to suspend reality in order to believe Him. He never asks us to check our brains at the door to believe Him. He asks us to believe that he is the one true God that takes faith, that he forgave all our sins, that he is the Son of God and that we get eternal life. He asks us to believe that. The fact that the gospel writers wrote that women were the first to see the risen body of Jesus and discover the empty tomb means that they were telling the truth. Because anybody who's writing a story during that time to say he's alive would not choose one women to go to the tomb first. They would have chosen one of the disciples. The apostles, on the other hand, died in their lifetime saying, look, we saw Jesus dead and alive, we believe it, we saw him in bodily form and we are willing to be brutally tortured to death, executed for belief that that's what we saw. Now one mentally deranged person might do that, but you can't tell me that a little. 11 it's actually, we think a couple hundred people did that, 500 Psalms that they all did that. Believing in a lie. Who would do that? It defies logic. Something happened. They saw the risen Christ. [01:14:24] (42 seconds)  #TransformedByTheResurrection

``The resurrection proves everything. It proves that his claims that he is the Son of God. God, that he came to die to take away the sins of the world, that he came to give new life to those who put their trust in him, that he gives us access to the Father. He gives eternal life to his followers. He is sovereign, in control of all things. [01:27:16] (23 seconds)  #ExclusivePathThroughChrist

If Jesus rose from the dead, which I believe with every fiber of my being he did, then we have to really think about the claims he made and say, okay, no one comes to the Father except through me. You're not getting to heaven by any other way except through your surrendered life to Jesus Christ. I'm sorry if he rose from the dead. That's the truth. Doesn't matter how good you are, doesn't matter how much you give away, doesn't matter how much you love people. If you don't have Christ as your sinner, you're not going to heaven. [01:27:41] (41 seconds)  #EternalChoicesMatter

Everything we do on this earth will determine how we spend eternity. People who die without Christ will spend forever in torment. We should be burdened by that. We should hurt for that. Are we living for ourselves? Or we've just been building up wealth for ourselves to please ourselves, make money for ourselves? Are we living to serve God? Love people, make an impact for God's kingdom. The resurrection makes us have to think and reflect what are we doing with our lives? Because if it really happened, then everything he says is true. We're accountable for that. [01:29:34] (50 seconds)  #PowerThatRaisedChrist

The Bible says that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. Wow. That same power that raised Christ from dead lives in you so that you could overcome your pornography addiction, overcomes your addictions. The same power is the one that can heal your marriage, heal your body, heal your emotions, can help your children, help you love more. That same power. [01:34:39] (43 seconds)  #FillUsWithBoldness
