1. "Simone's faith in God, along with her discipline, has led her to win 11 Olympic medals. She has won the gold, silver, and two bronze, four of them in Paris. Along with that, she's amassed over 30 world championship medals, 23 gold, four silver, and three bronze. You want to hear what she says about it? She says, I was made like this to do great things, and God is the one who directs my life."

2. "You're in the right place because God's here this morning. God's here. He brought you here. He brought you here to help empower you. He brought you here to help build your faith. And he brought you here to tell you how much he loves you. And how he wants to help carry you through whatever that is that you are carrying this morning. Whatever you're facing today, Jesus is here to help you through."

3. "Peter woke up that day and he purposed in his heart that he was going to move forward. He was going to be faithful. He was going to move forward in his walk with Jesus. He made a decision to push through. And sometimes, friends, that's what you're going to need to do. You're going to need to wake up tomorrow and you're going to need to decide, I'm going to push through. I'm going to be faithful."

4. "Part of the reason Peter could walk in confidence was he experienced something profound after his failures. He encountered the risen Jesus who restored him with words of love on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Do you remember those words? Peter, do you love me? Yes, Lord, I love you. Then feed my sheep. Those were great words, powerful words. Those words were not just a command to Peter. They were a reminder that Jesus had forgiven Peter. He now trusts Peter. He believes in Peter, even when Peter didn't believe in himself."

5. "Peter didn't underestimate God. Peter didn't limit what God could do through his life. But more importantly, he didn't limit what God could do through the life of someone in need. That's what was going on. At that moment, both Peter and John, I think, learned a valuable lesson. And it's a lesson that drove the mission of the followers of Jesus forward. In the first century, you see, at that moment, Peter realized that God was using him as a broken man to bring healing to another broken man."

6. "The very problems that you're going through today, God can take those and turn them around to become the fuel that brings healing to another person tomorrow. That's how God works. Amen. Charles Spurgeon, who's a great preacher from the 1800s, I like the way he says it. I sometimes go back into the archives and find these great quotes. You'll love this one. He says, I have learned to kiss the wave that throws me against the rock of ages."

7. "So often we experience spiritual limitations in our lives because we don't ask God to intervene. We see a need. We see something happening. And we just don't have any faith. And so we never go to God with it. And then we look around and we wonder, why don't we see God moving? James chapter 4 provides us with a little outline. To help us understand what this all means. Here's what the Bible says in James chapter 4, verses 2 and 3. You don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it."

8. "When God moves in your life, are you taking the opportunity to tell the story of Jesus to those around you? If you're not, I want to encourage you to start doing that. When God moves in your life, take that. Take that as an opportunity to tell your story. Tell the story of what God's doing regardless of the outcome."

9. "Your message of God's love is empowered by your past hurts, your past mistakes, your past failures. All of this shapes you. All of this makes you. All of this strengthens who you are today. And when you take all of you, the good, the bad, the mess, all of it, the forgiveness, you lay it all at the feet of Jesus. Jesus then puts power in your voice as you point people to God's forgiveness, God's restoration, and his healing, and his love."

10. "If you're already a follower of Jesus, like Peter, you could start with these three simple steps that we looked at today. Notice the needs around you, never underestimate God, and begin to narrate the message of God's love to the world, maybe in some new ways like you haven't done before."
