### Quotes for Outreach

1. "That is the best definition of repentance, is I'm going the wrong way. I stop. I have a change of mind and a complete change of direction. That's what it means to repent." [03:31] (15 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2. "A good question to answer is, is my life heading in the right direction? How do you know if your life is heading in the right direction or not?" [04:52] (15 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

3. "To be born again is not to become religious. It's really, it's not to become religious. Jesus said, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they've been born again, born from above. He said, no one can enter the kingdom of God without this experience, okay?" [12:45] (22 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "To be born again is to have a spiritual rebirth, Jesus said. He said, flesh breeds flesh. Mom and dad make a baby and it's flesh. He says, the spirit breeds spirit. And he says, the wind, it's like the wind blowing. You feel it, but you can't see it. You don't know where it's coming from, but you do feel it." 5. "To be born again is to shift kingdom loyalty. I shift from the kingdom of this world. To the kingdom of self, to the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God gets our loyalty now. But let's never forget, it's the Holy Spirit who initiates this work." [25:24] (21 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

### Quotes for Members

1. "Nicodemus, he represents a spiritual blindness, if you will, a spiritual blindness that comes from not questioning our presuppositions that we might have about God, life, the Scriptures. He just was, he wasn't thinking about the Bible. He was there to learn from Jesus, right? And he had his set of presuppositions in what the Messiah and what Jesus should be. But he had enough questions after the signs to at least come and introduce himself to Him." [09:36] (35 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2. "Jesus is leading Nicodemus to question his answers, to question his presuppositions regarding life, purpose, and our understanding of God. He was a man of the Pharisees. At the time this, wow, would have been recorded or this conversation happened, there's about 6,000 Pharisees, teachers of Israel. And here's the thing we got to get. Jesus is telling the teacher of Israel, He is saying, you're going the wrong way. You're not doing this right. You're not doing life the way I have intended for you." 3. "Repentance is a turning around from going the wrong way. And you know what? It's not a one-time decision. It's a one-time experience, but it's a daily experience that whether in thought, word, or deed, we go the wrong way momentarily. We say, Lord, I'm sorry. I'm going to stop. I'm going to piss. I'm going to piss. I'm going to piss. I'm going to piss. And I'm going to follow in your direction. I'm going to follow the way of the kingdom, not the way of Scott. But rely on God's decision for you, not your decision for him. That's important." [30:01] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4. "To be born again is to have Jesus' perspective now, on your life and how you see the world around you. Do you remember in the late 80s and the 90s, there was those, it was kind of a fad of the magic eye paintings, where like it was this 3D image where when you looked at the poster itself, it would just look like a bunch of dots and colors. But if your eyes caught it just right, you could see the image behind all the things that you couldn't see. My parents had one of those. And if you could finally, see it, you saw this shark in the background. And once you see it, you can't really unsee it. No one can see the kingdom of God unless they've been born again. And when the Holy Spirit awakens you, you can't unsee it. You can't unsee it." [23:53] (52 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5. "Jesus' response to how can someone be born again is this, from the inside out. Happens from the inside out. I have a friend who long time ago, his wife became a Christian and he was not a Christian. At best, he was an agnostic. She became a Christian. She became a Christian. She became a Christian. She became a Christian, started going to church, started bugging him about going to church and preaching to him. And just like any spouse wants their spouse to be a Christian and experience what they've experienced. And one year, she thought, oh, one day, I don't know when it was, but she got him a Bible and she engraved his name on it. And it's probably a Thompson chain reference Bible or something. And a few of you got that. Thank you. she thought, well, he'll read it and he'll get saved to become a Christian. And he was like, gee, thanks for the Bible. And one day they got in a fight and she was preaching to him again. And he took the Bible and he slammed it on the floor and he said, I don't want to hear this."
