There is power in intentionally coming into God’s presence and laying every anxiety, distraction, and burden at His feet. No matter what season you are in—whether you are celebrating or struggling—God invites you to bring everything to Him, not just the good or the bad, but all of it. Thanksgiving is not just for the easy times; it is a posture of the heart that says, “God, no matter what, You are still God and I am thankful.” When you approach God with honesty and gratitude, you open yourself to His healing, peace, and presence. [20:30]
Philippians 4:6 (NASB)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Reflection: What is one specific worry or distraction you are carrying today that you can intentionally bring to God in prayer, thanking Him for who He is even before you see the answer?
Scripture is not optional for those who want to live in a right relationship with God; it is necessary and profitable for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness. When life feels like a mess and you are searching for how to put yourself back together, God’s Word is the tool He has given to guide, equip, and restore you. Even when you feel inadequate or broken, the Bible is the foundation that leads you to wholeness and equips you for every good work. [40:50]
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NASB)
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Reflection: How can you make engaging with Scripture a non-negotiable part of your daily routine this week, especially in an area where you feel “messy” or in need of direction?
No matter how far you have strayed or how deep your failures, God offers hope, redemption, and restoration. Even when your sins are as scarlet, He promises to make them white as snow if you turn to Him. God’s way is always the best way, and He continually invites you to consent and obey, promising fullness of life and blessing. Refusing and rebelling leads to brokenness, but surrendering to God brings forgiveness and a new start. [48:49]
Isaiah 1:18-20 (NASB)
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.
If you consent and obey,
You will eat the best of the land;
But if you refuse and rebel,
You will be devoured by the sword.”
Truly, the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Reflection: Is there an area of your life where you have been refusing or rebelling against God’s way? What would it look like to surrender that area to Him today?
A genuine encounter with God’s holiness and presence brings deep transformation and humility. When Isaiah experienced God’s glory, he immediately recognized his own brokenness and need for cleansing. God responded by forgiving and restoring him, preparing him for a greater purpose. When you truly encounter God, you cannot remain the same; His presence brings healing, forgiveness, and a call to mission. [58:11]
Isaiah 6:5-8 (NASB)
Then I said,
“Woe is me, for I am ruined!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.”
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said,
“Behold, this has touched your lips;
And your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.”
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
“Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Reflection: When was the last time you allowed yourself to be fully present before God, letting Him reveal and heal what needs to change? What step can you take this week to seek a fresh encounter with Him?
Be careful what you entertain from the enemy—whether it’s anxiety, insecurity, pride, or temptation—because giving the enemy access to the secret places of your life leads to destruction. True wholeness cannot be achieved by your own efforts, by others, or by anything the world offers. Only Jesus, who gave His life for you, can put you back together and give you life to the fullest. Surrendering your life to Him is the only way to experience true restoration, freedom, and purpose. [01:09:18]
John 10:10 (NASB)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Reflection: What is one “secret place” or hidden struggle you need to stop entertaining and surrender fully to Jesus today, trusting Him to bring true restoration?
Today, we gathered to celebrate not just the kickoff of college football, but more importantly, the launch of our LifeRoot groups for the fall semester—a time to connect, grow, and do life together. We were reminded of the power of coming into God’s presence, laying our anxieties and distractions at His feet, and approaching Him with thanksgiving, even when gratitude feels hard. God invites us to bring everything to Him, promising healing and restoration when we do.
We explored the book of Isaiah, often called the “Shakespeare of prophets,” and saw how it weaves together Israel’s history, present warnings, and future hope in the Messiah. Isaiah’s message is deeply relevant: it addresses a people whose lives are in disarray, asking, “How can I get myself together again?” The answer is not found in our own efforts, but in returning to God, obeying His word, and allowing His presence to transform us.
Isaiah’s prophecies are not just ancient history; they are echoed throughout the New Testament and fulfilled in Jesus. The book’s structure even mirrors the Bible itself, with its 66 chapters paralleling the 66 books of Scripture, and its focus shifting from judgment and correction to hope and redemption. Isaiah calls out the same issues we see today—moral decline, political corruption, social injustice, and spiritual idolatry—reminding us that God’s standards have not changed.
A powerful moment in Isaiah’s story comes when he encounters God’s holiness and is undone by his own unworthiness. Yet, in that place of humility, God brings cleansing and restoration. Isaiah’s response—“Here am I, send me”—is the call for each of us: to be transformed by God’s presence and then sent out to make a difference in our world.
We are challenged not to settle for outward religious tradition or lip service, but to give God our hearts. We are warned not to give the enemy access to the secret places of our lives, but to trust that only Jesus can truly put us back together. No amount of self-effort, relationships, substances, or distractions can restore us—only the sacrifice of Christ can. When we surrender to Him, He promises life to the fullest, restoration, and a new beginning.
Isaiah 1:18-20 (NASB) — > “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
> Says the Lord,
> “Though your sins are as scarlet,
> They shall become as white as snow;
> Though they are red like crimson,
> They shall be like wool.
> If you are willing and obedient,
> You will eat the best of the land;
> But if you refuse and rebel,
> You will be devoured by the sword.”
> For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
2. Isaiah 6:1-8 (NASB)
> In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim were standing above Him, each having six wings: with two each covered his face, with two each covered his feet, and with two each flew. And one called out to another and said,
> “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of armies.
> The whole earth is full of His glory.”
> ...
> Then I said,
> “Woe to me, for I am ruined!
> Because I am a man of unclean lips,
> And I live among a people of unclean lips;
> For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of armies.”
> Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your guilt is taken away and atonement is made for your sin.”
> Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
3. Philippians 4:6 (NASB)
> Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Don't ever ask what's the easiest way, because the right way and the easy way are rarely the same way. Don't ask the easy way. Ask God, what is your way? What does your word say? Remember 2 Timothy 3 16, it is only by scripture that we are corrected and put in the right direction to walk in a right standing relationship with God. One moment in God's presence should change us for eternity. If we really encounter God, like I'm not talking about, we just snot a couple of times, wipe it off, throw the tissue on the altar and then leave and never change. I'm saying if I really encounter, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty. Like you have changed me. God, I'm in your presence and your holiness. I'm in your goodness. I'm in your greatness. God, I need help. I can't walk away from an encounter with God and be the same. It's impossible. [00:57:49] (37 seconds) #HolyCoalRestores
That is the same question god's asking believers today who will i send who will go for us i'm glad you're connecting i'm glad you're in life groups i'm glad you're going to church i'm glad you open your bible on sundays but who's going to go and make a difference like i need somebody that cares enough about the gospel that it's not just about them not going to hell but everybody else not going to hell too it's not just about your restoration but it's about their restoration. [00:59:34] (26 seconds) #HereAmISendMe
Why does that matter we pray and ask god for something and get mad after six minutes they waited 600 years for the prophet prophecy to be fulfilled can i tell you something don't quit keep believing don't stop believing keep believing god because just because you don't see it immediately doesn't mean it won't happen indefinitely hear me keep trusting god keep believe in god keep praying keep seeking keep doing what he's asked you to do keep going where he's asked you to go keep believing everything that he's told you keep reading the word keep getting in his presence keep going why because just because you don't see it now doesn't mean it's not coming doesn't mean it's not happening. It's not the tradition that's the problem. We've made tradition the problem in church. Can I tell you, the tradition is not the problem. A lot of them need to go. But the tradition is not the problem. It's the heart that's the problem. And God goes, I want your heart. I want your heart in it. It doesn't matter what your lips say. It matters how you live it and what you believe about it. [01:04:58] (22 seconds) #TakeItToGod
Don't give the enemy access to your life. Can I be real bold with you today? Be careful what you entertain from the enemy. Be careful that anxiety that you hold on to and won't give to God because it's access for the enemy. The insecurity is access for the enemy. The thoughts, the slow scrolling on Instagram and Facebook on the half -naked man and the half -naked woman, the pride, the love of money. I can't tithe. I can't this because I can't serve. I can't this. No matter what God says, can I just tell you, just be careful what you entertain from the enemy because I'm going to tell you something right now. The enemy is roaming the earth, as the Bible says, looking for somebody he may devour. And he is begging for the opportunity for you to give him access to the secret places of your life so he can devour everything that you have and you can walk away defeated. [01:09:08] (52 seconds) #JesusRestoresWholeness
You can't put yourself back together again. The best you can do for the sake of a really dumb statement is put lipstick on a pig and make it look good. The best you can do with your life that's falling apart is super glue it so that everybody else thinks that you've got it together. But you cannot create a wholeness in your life without Jesus Christ. And he promises that if you give your life to me, good things are coming. If you give your life to me, if you follow the kingdom of God, I'm telling you, restoration, forgiveness, grace, mercy is all yours. And you get to walk into eternity with God the Father whenever you give your life to Jesus. Submit your life to him and everything is there with him. You walk with him daily and we figure this thing out. It's not about perfection. It's about faithfulness. [01:10:38] (45 seconds) #JesusPutsYouTogether
``There's one name and his name is Jesus Christ. And he tore his body apart. He tore his body apart to put your soul together. And I'm just here to tell you, he says it like this. If you put your life in my hands, I'll put you back together and you'll be better than you ever thought possible. And while life may still happen, you got life to the fullest because of sacrifice of Jesus. Your life can be put together today through the cross of Jesus Christ. [01:11:49] (30 seconds)
