#SoulLifeguards
“Guess what? You and I are lifeguards. There are people drowning in sin, in sickness, in depravity. There are people who are hopeless, who are looking for hope. They don't know what hope is, so they try to find hope in sex, in drugs, in money, in food, in relationships, wherever it is, they're trying to find hope. And often time, we're sitting there watching them, and we say, man, ain't that bad. Look at them over there. Now they know better. Now they really don't because they ain't sin. Sinners sin. You and I are the lifeguards. What good is it if we sit on the sidelines and watch people who are drowning in sin and say, I'm so glad I ain't in their shoes. What God wants in the church that wakes up and says, Lord, I don't have all the answers, but I know you are the answer.”

#SpeakTheGospel
“We can no longer be silent. Listen, some of us think we we live evangelistically by our life. If I live a good life and they they gonna see Jesus in me, and they gonna want Jesus, let me tell you something. They should see your life. But your life, without you speaking up, means nothing. You know why I know that? Because there's quote unquote good people who don't know Jesus out there who look good, who do good works. But it's different with us. God says, how can they hear without a preacher? Listen, it didn't say without a pastor. Let me help you understand something. When it says preacher, it means proclaiming the gospel. So anybody, when you proclaim the gospel to somebody, you are preaching the gospel. That doesn't mean you gotta have a public pulpit.”

#SeeWithGodsEyes
“So we have to look past what we see with our natural eyes, and we gotta start looking with some spiritual eyes. God, what is it that you are matter of fact, not what can you do, Lord, what are you doing that I can get involved with you in? Because sometimes we're waiting and asking God to do something when God said, look around and see what I'm doing already. And when you see what I'm doing, come get involved in it. And and and don't we don't always have to reinvent the wheel. We can just get on the ride. The ride's already going. Get on the ride, come ride with me. Because there's a calling for us as a local church and for members. And you know what that calling is? We are called to be light in a dark land. I”

#GodsPerspective
“And so God wants to always make sure that we are seeing what He's seeing. Matter of fact, this is my prayer. God, help us to see things through your eyes and not our own perspective. Our perspective is too small. It's too limited. We can't see what God is doing if we don't have his eyesight. And if we don't see what God does, what will happen is we'll get tired, fatigued, and we'll we'll we'll is that we'll grow weary in well doing. And we'll think God's not doing something. That's one of the tricks the enemy does, is make you think that God is not moving around you or through you, because guess what? You don't always see stuff right away. But when you don't see it, you just keep doing what God told you to do, and you trust God and His timing for His results. So here's the first thing is this. For a church, we had to see society through God's eyes.”

#HopeBeyondBrokenness
“ain't you ain't even scratched the surface yet of what I got for y'all to do. So what do we have to do? First, we gotta look past the brokenness. We gotta look past the things that are already messed up and not focus on those, because when you focus on what's broken, you get anxious. You get weary, you get depressed, and you start saying there is no hope in this situation. For some of y'all, your life situation, you might be going through some stuff, and you feel like it just ain't no hope. I done went through this thing. I'm here to tell you, if you can hear the stories of others around you, they will tell you God has brought hope out of hopeless situations. Situation you've been in that you thought couldn't change, you look around at somebody else, God didn't did it. And I'm like this, if he did it for them, he could do it for me.”

#VoteBiblicalValues
“We have to listen. We got to learn to vote biblical values. Too many times, people based on skin color. Y'all quiet now. We vote based on skin color. And somebody said, we got to stick together, and we got to take care of our community, and we, we, we. And I'm playing, wait a minute, but Joe, what you support, I don't support. Because what you're supporting is is is the exact opposite of what this is. So I'm tell you right now, if somebody promotes sin, then you don't owe them allegiance because of your skin. Which means you've got to be diligent in seeing what they actually believe.”

#BeTheLight
“is what was used to bring in ships that were coming in. Because y'all do know the Great Lakes is like shipping. That's what it's known for. Toledo is a big shipping port. So they would have the lighthouse. Why? Because if the ship didn't have the light with all the goods that was on it, it didn't matter how much the the captain prayed and everything else, they couldn't see where they was going. And that lighthouse was a beacon to to give them hope. You're approaching your destination, and this is a safe space. Guess what? God wants our church, Change City, and the members of this church, your household, to be lighthouses in a dark world.”

#GospelEverywhere
“You you and I have people who God has strategically placed you in front of, and He wants you to use that influence. Remember a few months ago we did Francis? Who are supposed to share the gospel with? Yeah. Yeah. Francis, the acronym, f r a n c e s s. Share the gospel with your friends, share it with your relatives, share it with your acquaintances, Share with your neighbors. Share with your co coworkers and your classmates, your enemies, and strangers. Who's God put around you? Start looking at your life like, Lord, help me be sensitive. Help me to listen. Help me to be a relationship so that I have the opportunity to present you before people. That's the vision of this house. The vision of this house is we are making a people who are not just church attenders, they are change agents. God is gonna take you and send you out there to make changes in people's lives. As he does that, we're gonna see changes in our in our neighborhoods, in our schools, in our cities, and not just us, with the body of Christ at large.”
