#ChooseChristNotCulture
“``When culture says go this way and Jesus says go this way, which one are you gonna hold on to? Which way are you gonna go? Or yourself when you hey. Hey. I have my preferences. I have my rules, and I wanna go this way, and God says go this way. Which one are you gonna hold on to? Which one are you gonna let go of? Even within a church setting, when there is a church tradition that is not a biblical tradition, it's just a tradition that's been passed down and it conflicts with what Jesus is calling you to do. Which one are you gonna go with? Are you gonna go with the tradition that that Jesus has? Are gonna go with the tradition that's been passed down from church? And so which one are you going to follow? Have you confused tradition or culture with God's commands?”

#FaithOverEarnings
“He's not looking for you necessarily to be perfect because he has been perfect. He calls us to be holy and to follow him with all of our heart. But if we think I am earning my way to heaven, we're missing it because Jesus earns our way for us because we could never do it. So Jesus is looking for people who are want to be his disciples, to follow them, to seek to have the right actions, to seek to have the right words, but to do it with the right heart and truly following him. Jesus doesn't just look at our actions, but he looks at our hearts.”

#NothingHiddenFromJesus
“Jesus is looking at our hearts, not just our actions. And so for us, we need to examine that. Our actions can fool others. Our actions can hide our hearts to other people. At least for a while, at least to some people, we can have the right actions and we can fool people. We can do it. We've seen examples of this over and over again throughout human history. People that for a while were fooling people with their actions and with their words, but then eventually the truth came out who they really were. We can hide behind that for a while, but we can't hide it from Jesus because Jesus sees our heart.”

#WordOverTradition
“And so we need to ask ourselves, do I am I holding on to human traditions more than God's word? What is weightier to you? Is it is it human traditions or is it god's word? When push comes to shove and you need to choose between one or the other, which one is more important? Holding on to god's word or human traditions.”
