31s
“What Jesus actually says with a loud voice is, Lazarus, come out. There's a tomb. Right? There's a a stone there. He says, roll away the stone and he says, Lazarus, come out. But how many of us know that Lazarus cannot come out unless Jesus goes in? They've got to trade places. Like, it's not just Lazarus, come on out. He's like, no. For you to come out, I have to go in. In the story, it says that the man who died came out. He doesn't even call him Lazarus at that point. It says, the man who died came out of the tomb alive.”
27s
“How many of us this morning know that that cannot happen unless Jesus cries out, bind me and leave me on the cross. Loose him and let him go. Take the shackles off, take the bandages off. Even though he seems to be alive, he's still bound. Has to be loose and let go. And Jesus says, that cannot happen unless I say bind me. Nail me to the cross and then leave me there. Don't take me down. I have to actually die.”
