32s
“``You don't need a series of rituals to make you clean enough. You don't have to send your prayers over a wall hoping God might hear them. The author of Hebrews tells us exactly what this means. He says that because of the blood of Christ, we now have confidence to boldly enter into the presence of god as dearly loved children. The veil was torn so that you could stop living like you don't have access to the father.”
34s
“For thousands of years, humanity has lived on the outside of the barrier, on the outside of the veil. A thick, heavy curtain that declared to us, you are separated from God. Getting into his presence was the most exclusive, most terrifying, most impossible thing in the universe. Only one man once a year could dare step behind that veil, and even when he did so, he was trembling in fear.”
