God wants us to be in our prime this year. God wants us to be at the height of fame, of excellence, and influence this year. And another word that jumped out at me as I started thinking about this, praying about this, this really rose up in my heart, is the word blossom. And the word blossom means to flourish. You can see how these words all fit together, to develop. [00:02:54] (24 seconds)

So God's saying the righteous are going to blossom like a palm tree. The righteous are going to spread our wings. We're going to fly this year, right? I hate to think about it, but there are some songs that many of us are very familiar with, about flying. That's all I'm going to say about that. But the point is that God's saying that we will flourish like a palm tree this year. [00:05:23] (20 seconds)

And that really jumps into the scripture we just read where the Bible says that the righteous will bear fruit even in old age. And see, this is really God's picture for you, that you remember the Lord in the days of your youth, and you're still producing sweet fruit for God in your old age. And God is saying here that that's what the righteous will experience. [00:07:16] (22 seconds)

Another study of this said this about the palm trees, that they are flexible, that they survive winds and storms because of that, that they're actually made to be malleable. And so the idea we can get from this is to not be hard -hearted or stubborn, not even to be stuck in our ways about how God will fix the problems that we're facing. [00:07:55] (22 seconds)

Come on, this is the way things work with God, is that with God, you've got to accept it. You know, the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 4 about a group of people that the word of God that was given to them did not prosper. You know, the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 4 about a because it wasn't mixed with faith. [00:11:21] (17 seconds)

Be all in with your commitment to God. What do you mean by that? Well, let's read Colossians chapter three in verse four. It says, When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. If we were to back up a couple of scriptures, we find out that the Apostle Paul is telling the church of Colossae to set their affection on heavenly things, to put their heart into things that God cares about rather than things that the world cares about. [00:19:48] (33 seconds)

He is not an appendage added on to my life. He is my life. You know, Matthew 6, 33 says, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things. We'll be added to you. Well, the things are the food and the clothes and all the other things that we really like in this world. The problem we have sometimes is that we seek first the things that we want to add Christ to us. [00:20:56] (28 seconds)

Four things you need to do to thrive in 2025. Be all in with your commitment to God. Have a vision for thriving, for blossoming this year. Maximize your godly potential and produce fruit for God. That's number four. Produce fruit for God. John 15, 16 says, you did not choose me, but I chose you. [00:38:11] (26 seconds)

We just finished a series called Good Deeds and we talked about the types of fruit we should be producing for God. There's six good deeds we should be doing, winning others to Jesus, mentoring others in Jesus. That's called discipleship, serving others, right? Praying for others, giving to others. God wants us to be doing these things, producing fruit to Jesus. [00:40:01] (31 seconds)
