"We don't give because he needs it. We give because we need to. We need to do that because it literally is so transformative. Your attitude about life, about the Lord, about the lost changes. And so as you prepare between now and the end of the year, just contemplate that attitude. Bring it with joy. Bring a year-end gift with enthusiasm." [00:26:23] (29 seconds)

"Today's big idea, the future deliverance of man is a present reality. Just like most of you in this room did not live before Interstate Highway System. It was predicted. It was talked about. Then it was made. And now you get to drive on it. You didn't do anything to make it. Very few of you. There might be some in here that have done it. But the problem is, you didn't do anything to make it. The present reality is overwhelming." [00:41:13] (23 seconds)

"And here you can, John the Baptist and Matthew and Mark and Luke, a voice of one calling. And here it is. This is the words of heaven. In the wilderness, prepare the way for the Lord. Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised. Every mountain and hill made low. The rough ground shall become level. And the rugged places shall become a plain." [00:46:43] (26 seconds)

"Living in the reality of it is much different than looking forward to it. And this is where we're at. And so, whatever it might be in your life, Christ has come to not only pave the way, but to pay the price. And here's the good news. While there's only one way to do it, there's only one way to do it. And that's to pay the price. And that's to pay the father." [00:53:26] (19 seconds)

"And whatever might be between you and the highway might be very different than what's between me and the highway. Mine might be a valley, yours might be a mountain. Okay? And all of that is going to be removed so that you're going to see it in a second. You can get on the highway. And so, your journey... will be very, very different than anybody else's journey on how you got to the highway." [00:54:03] (23 seconds)

"Good news about God is he's never going to get tired. We do. He doesn't. We get weary. You can imagine how weary the workers must have been when they were building that highway. I mean, unbelievable hour after hour, day after day. Year after year of building a highway system. We know what it's like to get tired and weary." [01:04:39] (18 seconds)

"You're tired and weary. You just wore out. Right? Like, you know the tires of your life are bald, but you've got no choice but to drive on them. You're in that little place where, you know, the fuel light, like in my truck, it tells me low fuel, low fuel, low fuel, fill up. Right? And I don't do it often, but I know that there's 30 miles left beneath me." [01:05:19] (30 seconds)

"But those who hope in the Lord, will renew their strength. You will. They will soar on wings like eagles. They'll run and not grow weary. They'll walk and not be faint. See, the Bible is always honest. We're going to get weary. But if you're on the highway, weariness is to be expected. But also understand there's a God who comes alongside and gives strength. He gives strength. He gives strength." [01:09:42] (48 seconds)
