#TrustGodThroughIt
“``What if we had that disposition in our own lives that we don't know what the answer would look like? We don't know what the end will be. We don't know if it'll work out in our favor or not, but my god, I am gonna trust god through it, and it is gonna show in my disposition. It is gonna show in my attitude. It is gonna show in the way that I think. It is gonna show in the way that I carry myself, that I trust in the god who fights my battle. The sinking was not their strategy. It was a response of their faith, but it was the one that God used to bring them victory to bring them victory.”

#SeekGodTogether
“Church, what would change what would change in marriages if couples prayed and fasted together? What would change in family dynamics if families prayed and fasted together? What would change in friendships if if if if friends prayed and fasted together. Now what would change what would change in churches if churches prayed and fasted together? That's what's so remarkable about the king. As though everything he's done so far is not remarkable. That's what's so remarkable about this king. He had no problem confessing his inadequacy. He stood up and he prayed publicly in front of the people starting in verse six and he ends in verse 12. And and and as how he ends with these words, he ends in verse 12 with these words, we do not know what to do, but we look to you.”

#PraiseInTheBattle
“The good thing is that they did. But as the telltale sign that they believe the word, it wasn't just that they say, oh, we believe and we'll move on. No. That was a sign. That was a disposition that they had that pointed to the fact that they believed in that prophetic word. Hence what it was, church. They began to praise and worship God. They were they were praising him, not because the battle had already been won, but because they were comforted in knowing that the battle belongs to God. You see, sometimes church, you just gotta sing and and praise God through the battle rather than wait to the end of the battle. they were singing, praising God. The battle hadn't started yet, but but they but they trusted and they and they were comforted when the fact that God is with them. And so when you sing as you sing and and as you see the battle in front of you, as you see the hardship in front of you, while you sing not because you're like, oh, I know how this will work out, but you sing because you know that God is with you and that the battle belongs to God.”

#FaithfulInProcess
“And the people of Judah, they came to battle, not not thinking they would win by singing, but God used it in his own unique way to bring about the victory. I don't know what happened. The bible doesn't tell us how God set an ambush, but church, that's what the bible does tell us that when the people of Judah started to sing, when they started to shout, something took place that caused the enemy to become corpses. All we know was the enemy heard the song and chaos happened. See, we might not be able to control the outcome that we want. We might not be able to because God is the one who controls it. But church, we can't control our faithfulness in the process. might not be able to control what the end looks like, but we can control our faith and trust in God through it all.”

#SeekGodInFear
“Here's a king who's afraid he might lose the law. Now here's a king who's afraid that in the next forty eight hours, his people might be dead and his land may belong to another king. Here's a man who's a king who is not afraid to say that he's afraid. You see, it would have been very easy to allow fear to control his decision making in that moment. It would it would have been easy to allow the fear that he's feeling to to be the determining factor in what he chooses to do next. And how many of you have been there where you've been afraid and in that moment that fear was the impetus or was the influencing decision, the influencing marker in what you did next. You coulda done that, but that is not what happened. Joshua was afraid, and he resolved to seek the Lord. He resolved to seek the Lord. Then he proclaimed a fast for all Judah who gathered to seek the Lord. They even came from all the cities of Judah to seek him.”

#GodUsesFaithfulness
“And that's what God does. God takes what we have and what we do, and he uses this in a way that'll surprise us. What you think God will use is not what God will use. But it is it is you showing up every day. It is that act of faithfulness, that act of trusting in God. It is it it is that that God will use in ways that will surprise you to bring about the result that he has for you. He is the God who takes what looks insignificant and he uses it for his own glory and for your good. We can't try to game the game. We just gotta show up and be faithful knowing that God will use our faithfulness, our trust, our steadfastness. He would use it for for his glory and for our good.”

#BattleIsTheLords
“Listen, church. Let me tell you right now. Now this prophetic word was not a new word. It was a word from God, but it was not a new word. It was not a new revelation. This is the word that God has always spoken to his people when life starts to feel overwhelming. When when external pressures are when they threaten to take priority in our lives over God's sovereignty. This is the word that God always speaks over his people. This was the same word that God gave to Joshua and to Israel when they were about to go and battle with the Canaanites. Do not be afraid. The battle is not yours, but God's. This was the same word that God gave to Nehemiah when they were rebuked in the temple of God in the face of opposition. Do not be afraid. The battle is not yours, but God's. This was the same word that God has given over and over and over again to his people over the years. Do not be afraid. The battle is not yours, but God's. And church, this morning, this is God's prophetic word for you. Do not be afraid or discouraged. The battle is not yours, but God's.”

#StayFaithfulNotBitter
“How many of you sitting here this morning can relate to that? How many of you sitting here this morning, can relate to that sentiment? You finally quit that habit. You did what you thought you needed to do, but still things are not what you want them to be. You've done what you believe God would have you do, but yet when you look up, that that thing you're desiring still has not taken place. You've been faithful in doing what is needed, but it feels like God is not holding on or or holding up to his end of the bargain and coming through for you. Well, if that's you this morning, let me just encourage you with this word. Let me encourage you with this word, and it is this that you are not alone in that experience. You are not alone in that experience. And and and here's the challenge for you. If that is true this morning, here's the challenge for you. It matters how you respond to that unexpected reality. It matters how you respond to the thing that you thought was supposed to happen, but it's not happening. Do you get bitter and and turn away, or do you say, my eyes will stay on the one who I know loves me?”
