#FromDarknessToLight
“``I wanna push back on this idea that you don't have a great story to tell. If you belong to Jesus, something has happened to you from the inside out. You've been brought from darkness to life. You've been brought from from death to life. It it may be quiet, but it's not small. It's not a little thing. You were spiritually blind, now you see. You were lost, now you're found. You were carrying guilt you couldn't get rid of. You've been forgiven. You're anxious and and grasping and trying to earn your worth, and he gave you peace and said, you belong to me. You were alone. He gave you a family. You were afraid of death. He took the fear away.”

#WitnessNotLawyer
“``They wanted him to be a lawyer, argue the case about who Jesus is, debate the theology of it. He refuses. He says, I'm not the lawyer, I'm the witness. A witness says one thing. A witness says, here's what I well, here's what happened to me. Here's what I saw. Here's what Nobody expects the witness to be the legal expert, or to argue the merits of the law. That's the lawyer's job. The witness has one job. It's the most simple and the most powerful job in the courtroom. Tell the court members what you experienced. What happened?”

#MyStoryIsProof
“``You can argue with someone's ideas all day long. Here's what they cannot argue with with you. What happened to you? You are actually the expert in that. Nobody can tell you what did or didn't happen to you, and that's why he wins. They can attack Jesus, they can question the theology, they cannot argue with the fact that this man is standing in front of them. He used to be blind, and now he isn't.”

#GodUsesOrdinaryPeople
“``He wasn't a gifted preacher. He didn't have all the answers. It's a guy who, when he got asked one theology question, didn't know it. And it was like, was Jesus perfect? It's the most simple theology question you could ask. God didn't reach that crowd through a gifted preacher. He reached them through the one guy who all he knew was what happened to him. Think about this. God loves to use ordinary witnesses. All throughout the Bible, when God uses a polished professional, people will think, oh, that's his job. But when it's your coworker, when it's not the preacher, it's not the scholar, and they just tell you quietly how Jesus changed their life, that hits differently. It's not a sales pitch, it's a testimony, and it's coming from someone you actually know. You're not disqualified because you're ordinary. You are the strategy, because God does extraordinary things with ordinary people.”
