#ThinkBeforeYouSpeak
“Stop and think, is what I'm about ready to say, is it true? Is it helpful? Is it inspiring? Is it kind? Those would be markers for what you might not want to say. I remember reading many years ago and being struck by what Paul said in Philippians chapter four. At the end, he had a flurry after he talked about rejoicing and Lord always, and he put it this way. Whatever is noble, notice the word whatever. Whatever is noble. Whatever is right. Whatever is pure. Whatever is lovely. Whatever is admirable. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.”

#PauseYourWords
“Another phrase would be put a cork in it. Right? Just shut up and don't say anything because if you do, it's probably gonna lead to some sort of sin. And I it hit me full force because I'm a talker. Right? On an occasion, my wife and I never have arguments, but, on occasion, she said to me one time when we were involved in a discussion, not an argument. We were involved in a discussion. She looked at me and she said, words, words, words. You're killing me with words. And I accept that rebuke because I do that a lot. Right?”
