#HopeAfterFailure
“``No matter what you've done in your life, no matter how much you think it's ended, that future, that hope, any chance you have at being somebody that God might choose or God might love, you might think the story's done, but it's not. Because even at the deepest darkest moment, God wasn't done with Samson. The hair began to grow again.”

#RedeemedByGrace
“Samson should give you hope that God's mercy can still come, that Jesus paid the price to wash away the sins that we have done, that we don't have to look at the wreckage of our lives and think it's over. We can know that even in the darkest moment, that even when Samson had lost it all, his hair began to grow again.”

#DontJustifyYourMess
“God wants your obedience. But if you won't give him obedience, God will still work even through your mess. But if you refuse God and and trusting him with your mess, if you refuse God working in your life, if if you continue to justify your mess, if you continue to to explain your mess away, if you continue to find excuses for why your mess is alright, if you if you find people that that help validate your mess in your life, then eventually, that mess is gonna drag you under.”

#BlessingsNotApproval
“As you read throughout his story, you see that he he continues to get opportunity. He continues to have the strength over and over again. And the Bible tells us that the strength is the result of the spirit of the Lord. See, God wants to use our obedience. I think Samson's story warns us to to recognize that just because you have some of God's blessing in your life does not mean that God approves of everything you're doing, That you should not mistake success, that you should not mistake your gifts, that you should not mistake your opportunities as God signing off on everything that you do, that we have mess in our lives. Samson had twenty years of victory, but those victories didn't have God's approval stamped on them. It had God's mercy stamped on it.”

#StrengthFromTheSpirit
“So the same thing happens the fourth time that happened the first three times. He tells her how his strength can be taken, and she does it. But this time, it's real. But here's my question. Was the hair where his strength came from? The source of his strength was the spirit of God. And this was the moment that Samson had completely abandoned God altogether. He spent his whole life ignoring God, but it clung to this one thing. This one thing he was going to trust God with, and here, he gave it up. And after a life of ignoring God, he didn't even know what it was like to feel God's presence anymore because once it was gone, he wasn't aware. He woke up thinking, man, I'll just bust out of here like I have before. And instead, he had lost it all.”

#ClothedInChrist
“People should be able to see that you stick out because of how you have clothed yourself in him. How you live should be different than how everyone else lives. But a lot of us try and hide the Jesus jersey by acting the same way as people around us, by behaving the same way of the people in our life rather than acting like Jesus. If you truly follow him, if you really commit yourself to living the life that Jesus called, then you will be different. That shouldn't be your goal. You shouldn't be like, I'm gonna be I'm I'm I'm gonna be odd for God. Don't do that. Don't try and be strange for Jesus. What I'm saying is if you obey Jesus, then being different is a byproduct. People will be able to see it by how you live.”

#DriftIntoSin
“And it doesn't happen all at once. Right? Samson didn't wake up one day. I like, I'm gonna ruin my life today. That's my plans for this evening. That's not what anybody does. But you just stay splashing around in the water that you know is unclean a little bit longer and a little bit more. As more people join, then it's a little bit easier to stay and make your life in the same mess that you're in now. And before you know it, the current has pulled you away from where you wanted to be.”

#GiftsForHisGlory
“People couldn't see the strength because we know the Bible tells us where the strength came from. It did not come from his muscles. It came from the spirit of the Lord. God had given him a gift, and God has gifted you as well. God has gifted you with talents and opportunities and resources, but people will not know the source of what he has given you unless you use it for what he has called you to. So people couldn't recognize God's power in Samson because he only used it for himself.”
