#FaithInAction
“``Now I think that there's actually an important lesson for us. I actually think that there's some application here that has nothing to do with what your theological view or your eschatological view is that you and I can apply. And that's this. I think that faith is more than just agreeing that Jesus is right. I think it includes that. I would suggest you faith is believing that Jesus is right and then responding with obedience and faith as a result. Look. When a fire alarm goes off in your house in the middle of the night and you smell smoke, and you feel heat, you don't gather around the table just to assess how if it's dangerous or not. You leave, and you leave because you trust that warning.”

#GodIsPromiseKeeper
“So Luke chapter 21 verses 20 through 24 leaves us with an important question. Is God a promise keeper? If Jesus was right about Jerusalem, that it would be destroyed, that there would not be one stone left upon another, can we trust him about everything else that he's prophesied? I think you know the answer to that. If his prophecy concerning the destruction of Jerusalem, yes, but the destruction of the temple in particular, If it came to pass exactly as he said it did, and news flash for you, it did, then his promises can be trusted with certainty. Certainty. That is his promises about his return, his promises about judgment, his promises about eternity, those things we can take to the bank.”

#HopeInTheUntil
“But I would suggest to you the keyword of this warning or or is the word until because it implies there's there's hope. This this day of vengeance, there's hope. It reminds us that God places limits on nations, he places limits on kings, he places limits on periods of judgment. And this day of vengeance that God is going to unleash upon a people who have rejected him and prostituted his his word, it's not gonna last forever. Until until history is not wandering aimlessly in chaos right now. Everything is moving everything is moving toward that which God has planned from day one.”

#JudgeAndSavior
“The god who warned Jerusalem is the same god who provides salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The same god who judges is the same god who saves and delivers from his own judgments. I think that's an important point that I want you to remember. The same God that judges is the same God who mercifully delivers from his own judgment. And the God who spoke all of these words is a God who's in the business of making good on every single promise that he makes, every single one of them, and every single warning.”
