32s
“Godly leadership flies under the radar. It doesn't seek, I should say, self promotion. In a world where greatness is often defined by how many people work for you or how many people serve you, greatness in the kingdom of God is how many people do you serve? And then he points to himself. Now get this. He points to himself, he says, I'm one among you who serves.”
36s
“Pride is the sin that resides in the heart of every human being. There's not a person in this room who is immune to it. And you could say that it is pride that defines humanity at its core because, as I said already, it's the one sin that serves all the others. It's the one sin that is the spark that spreads fire to rape and murder and idolatry and adultery. It all starts with pride. I will do what I wanna do, when I wanna do it, and how I wanna do it.”
45s
“I think this is what Jesus wants his disciples to understand, and by disciples, I mean, you and me as well. This is not relegated just to the 12. Kingdom grace kingdom greatness is not about how many books you have published, how many YouTube videos, how many hits you get or likes on Facebook. It's not about your glossy business card or any letters that come after your last name. Though those things can be helpful in the kingdom of God, kingdom greatness is about how you serve others sacrificially, sacrificially. It isn't about getting a title. It isn't about getting recognition. It isn't about having your name in lights.”
