There is a moment in Revelation where all of history waits for someone worthy to open the scroll and bring about the fulfillment of God’s promises—judgment of evil, the completion of all good works, and the renewal of all things. No one is found worthy except Jesus, the Lion of Judah, the Root of David, who has conquered. Without Him, we have no hope, no eternal life, and no future. But because He is worthy, everything we long for is secure. Our souls must be anchored in this truth: if we gain Christ and lose everything else, we gain everything; if we lose Christ and gain the world, we gain nothing. Let this reality shape your perspective and your daily pursuits. [02:38]
Revelation 5:1-5 (ESV)
Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you are tempted to seek worth or hope apart from Jesus? How can you intentionally re-center your heart on His sufficiency today?
Paul urges Timothy—and us—not just to receive grace as a one-time event, but to be continually strengthened by the grace that is found in Christ Jesus. This grace is not merely a resource for difficult times, but the ongoing reality of the gospel: who Jesus is, what He has done, and who we are because of Him. The strength to endure suffering, to remain faithful, and to live out our calling comes from regularly encountering and preaching the gospel to ourselves, not just recalling a past moment of salvation. The gospel must be our daily source of strength and endurance. [20:15]
2 Timothy 2:1 (ESV)
You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Reflection: How can you intentionally remind yourself of the gospel today, allowing it to be your source of strength in whatever you face?
We are not meant to walk alone; the gospel is something we must preach to ourselves and have preached to us by others. The world and our own hearts are constantly “dismembering” the truth of the gospel, so we need community to help us “remember”—to rebuild and reinforce what is true. Gathering regularly, sharing honestly, and encouraging one another is essential for spiritual survival and growth. We need each other to keep the gospel central and alive in our hearts, especially in seasons of suffering or discouragement. [29:07]
Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV)
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Reflection: Who in your life helps you remember the gospel when you are struggling? How can you reach out to them or encourage someone else in your community this week?
Passing on the gospel is not just about transferring information or teaching doctrine; it is about entrusting a treasure, like setting a beautiful meal before someone, pointing out its goodness, and inviting them to savor it. We are called to present the gospel to one another in a way that is personal, demonstrative, and life-giving, so that it is received, enjoyed, and kept safe. This is how we help each other remain faithful and able to teach others, ensuring the gospel is passed on rightly and joyfully. [34:35]
2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)
And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
Reflection: Think of someone in your life who needs to experience the beauty of the gospel afresh. How can you “set the table” for them this week—demonstrating and sharing the goodness of Christ in a tangible way?
The world, our circumstances, and our own hearts are constantly pulling us away from the truth of the gospel, tempting us to find security and identity elsewhere. God calls us to be a people who urgently and regularly “remember” the gospel together, rebuilding what is being torn apart by life’s pressures. This remembering is not passive; it is an active, communal practice that keeps us anchored in Christ and able to share Him with the world. We must feel the urgency to gather, encourage, and remind one another—because we cannot survive or thrive in faith without it. [48:45]
Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (ESV)
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Reflection: What is one practical way you can “remember” the gospel today—either by setting a reminder, sharing with a friend, or creating a visible prompt in your home?
In the closing years of the New Testament era, as persecution and cultural pressure mounted, Paul wrote to Timothy not just as a mentor, but as a spiritual father to his beloved son. The heart of this relationship is seen in Paul’s charge: “Be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” This is not a call to draw strength from some abstract idea of grace, but from the living reality of the gospel—who Jesus is, what He has done, and who we are because of Him. The gospel is not merely a message to be received once and then passed along; it is the ongoing source of our endurance, hope, and identity.
Paul’s words to Timothy are deeply personal. Before Timothy can faithfully entrust the gospel to others, he must first be continually nourished by it himself. The Christian life is not about mastering information or simply teaching others; it is about being transformed by the gospel daily, and then sharing that living reality with others. Paul uses the language of “entrusting” the gospel, which carries the imagery of setting a meal before someone, pointing out its goodness, and inviting them to savor it. This is how the gospel is to be shared—personally, joyfully, and with the expectation that it will be received, enjoyed, and safeguarded.
The call to “entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others also” is not limited to pastors or leaders. It is for all who follow Jesus. The gospel is to be passed from person to person, generation to generation, not as a cold transfer of doctrine, but as a living, nourishing reality. This requires community. We need each other to remember the gospel, because the world and our own hearts are constantly “dismembering” what we know to be true. Regular gathering, honest sharing, and mutual encouragement are essential. We preach the gospel to ourselves and to one another, so that we are strengthened to endure suffering, resist false teaching, and live out our calling in a world that opposes the truth.
Ultimately, the strength to endure, to teach, and to pass on the faith comes from continually encountering the grace that is in Christ. Only then are we equipped to carry the gospel to the world, not as a duty, but as a delight.

Ephesians 2:4-5 (ESV) — > But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV) — > Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. If you follow Jesus and you do it unapologetically, are you going to pay a price? Yes. And you're going to have to endure that. So that's all been said, and it is with that said that he now says this, so then. So considering all that, my child. [00:13:34] (18 seconds) #UnapologeticFaithCost
Ironically, the church that will receive a letter from God in the book of Revelation, one of them is the church in Ephesus. And you know what his letter to the church in Ephesus was? Y 'all knew your stuff really well. Y 'all did great things, man, seriously. You guys were so faithful and all that stuff. You just lost your first love for me. Isn't that incredible? That what you lost was the impact I have on you. What you lost is what the gospel means to you. You lost that incredible sense of, wow, thank you, God. And so you passed it on, you did great stuff. But man, it was never intended to pass through you. It was supposed to be for you first and always. And so we must be a people. Timothy had to be a people, a person that received the gospel when? All the time by preaching it to himself and by receiving the preaching of the gospel from others. [00:22:52] (55 seconds)

We preach the gospel to each other. And then and only then does he now transition to this next. And he uses the word and here because it's not a or. It's an and. It's a simultaneous. While you are remembering the gospel. While you are preaching it to yourself. While you are having it preached to you by others, then also this. [00:33:37] (24 seconds) #RejectFalseGospels
False gospels bring what? Death and darkness and bondage. Prosperity gospels bring death, darkness and bondage. Legalistic gospels bring death, bondage and darkness. Lawless gospels, misusing grace bring death, destruction, what is it? Bondage. Everything opposite to what is wonderful. They all bring terrible things. So men, don't pass a false gospel. By all means, take seriously the fighting corruption of truth. [00:34:58] (30 seconds) #EntrustLikeChefs
The opposite of the word remember is what? Not forget. It's actually dismember. So yes, if I forget something, we would say you didn't remember it, but the word is weird, right? Remember is something that's a member and then you re it or it's a member and you diss it, right? Dismember means what? To take apart and really better put to tear apart. So what is the world doing to you and your own soul in the battle within every day? It is dismembering what you know to be true about Jesus. [00:47:13] (31 seconds) #GatherToRemember
I need this place to remind me in all that I do that Jesus is more and I am only what I am because of him. And so we must be a people that gather when? All the time. To do what? Remember the gospel. By doing what? Entrusting the gospel to each other. So that we are all able to teach the gospel to others and then, then we are to go out into the world and tell who? Everyone. So all our names that are on that board, all our one mores, all the people we're praying for that they would come to know Jesus. This isn't a later. This is a while. While we're doing that, what else are we doing? We are receiving the gospel. We are enjoying the gospel. We are strengthened by the gospel. [00:49:53] (58 seconds)
