34s
“So I looked this up, and the rudder of a big ship is typically somewhere around 1% or one one hundredth of the size of the ship. Our tongues are even smaller. They're just decimal 1% of the size of our of the size of our bodies. And James says, likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.”

“What we do together on Sunday, Jesus wants us to take and influence our weekdays. Take Sunday into the everyday. What do we do on Sunday mornings when we're together as a community? What do we do corporately? Oh, we engage in God's word like we're doing right now. We offer God praise, like we just did. And prayer, we greet, we interact with fellow believers. And these are all acts of worship that Jesus intends us to take into the weekdays as well.”
57s
“How and what we say to our children and to our parents. How and what we say to our spouses and that we model to younger ears. How and what in our workplaces the conduct of our tongues can be so influential. The example that we set for young ears and hearts and minds communicating as parents or neighbors or whatever our relationship might be with others around us. How about our driving and traffic language? Does your vocabulary become more colorful when you're driving? Mine expands a little bit, I'll be honest, especially when I'm alone. Holy Spirit, show your patience through us.”
47s
“With a tongue, we praise our lord and father. We praise our savior. We we we give praise also to the holy spirit. Even when it's not easy, whenever somebody that, you're not a fan of comes to mind, offer a prayer of blessing rather than remembering the negative about them. Now I'm not on social media a lot, but I've seen many posts running down political leaders and others without any mention of praying for them.”
