#FromTestimonyToTrial
“And so, yeah, so I think that right now would be the perfect time to end the story, right? Like, this is great? If only. Yeah, so then at that point is when like, we've shared our testimony and it's been a common thing, but at that point, yeah, everything seems to be going great and then man falls. And so at that point, that is when I had my affair and then we are through all of that.”

#RebuildingWithBoundaries
“But it was like a it was like a godly insight into what was going on behind the scenes. And from there, you just came clean and said, here's everything that I've done. Here's what's led up to this, what's led me, and, like, I'm putting this all the way. Here's the guardrails I'm putting in place. Here's the things I'm gonna do so that this never ever happens again so that I protect my wife, I protect my family. I mean, you did an absolute ton of work and still are doing it.”

#ReturnToChildlikeWorship
“it blew Becca and I away because the pastor said two different things, and they were each verbatim of what we were praying in our individual prayer lives. And, like, it's not something we, like obviously, we don't know him, so he wouldn't have known. for me, the longest time, like, I I feel like I've been really good at being a servant of God and and serving his people and stuff. But in that, I kinda got away from being a child of God and really focusing in on being a child of God and and truly, truly understanding worship in what all entails, not just singing on stage.”

#HealingTakesWork
“Well, I didn't wanna do it. But, you know, there's an analogy in our recovery program, that I think just, like, sums it up perfectly. Right? Like, if you get in a car accident and somebody t bones you and your leg is just crushed, like, like, yeah, it wasn't your fault, but you still to go to PT. Like, you still have to have surgery. Like, you still have to do the work to heal that leg. And so in the same way, like, yeah, I didn't cause this to happen.”

#GodWillProvide
“But he also loves his church, including this representation of it here at Hutto Community Church. And as he has met you guys and your story at every step along the way, God will continue to meet us here at in every step along our journey as well. And so know that as your pastor, I've seen this coming for a long time. It doesn't make it easy at all. It's obviously very difficult, but I'm so confident in the song that we sang earlier that the Lord will provide. He will provide for us financially. He'll provide for us emotionally, spiritually. He'll provide for us as a church for the right staff people to be here at the right time to to take up the reins and to continue changing lives and changing eternities because that's what he has called us to do. So”

#ProtectingMyKids
“I didn't want my kids to see me the way I was because I literally, for about three days, just, like, screamed over and over again, Jesus, please let me die. And I had enough in my brain to know that I my kids couldn't see me like that, but, like, that's it. And so that was the George. The next picture is just the kids with church members, like, on the worst day of my life. Like, look at them.”

#FaithCrisisBeginning
“just felt so sick to my stomach, and I was like, how could I share this story with my kids? Like, they're five years old and three, and I was like, I'm this is, like, this is sick. Like, I was so angry and, like, disgusted by the story that, like, I grew up hearing and knowing. And I closed their bible curriculum, and I didn't teach it to them. And then I stopped teaching them bible curriculum because I, know, just that was the beginning of my faith crisis.”
