#LegitNeedsRightMeans
“Anytime you take something that's legitimate and try to use it and meet it for an illegitimate purpose, you mess up. Okay. It's it's legitimate to be hungry. That's legitimate need. It is illegitimate to stop by Krispy Kreme, get a dozen doughnuts, and polish them off before you get to the house. That's sin. It's a legitimate response to stress, to to be upset after you've gone through pressure. It is an illegitimate response to try to drink your sorrows away or try to smoke your problems away. Just keep looking straight.”

#GodGaveProvision
“So think about it. You don't have to read much bible. Just go to the first couple chapters of Genesis because right there at the beginning of the book of beginnings, we are told that God gave us everything that we need. God gave us provision. Let the church say provision. Because he establishes Adam and Eve in the garden where they are surrounded with everything that they need. But not only are they given provision, they're given prosperity because not only is the garden affixed with all kinds of trees that are good to look at and to eat, there is what special supernatural tree called the tree of life that provides for them abundant, eternal, and blessed life. They have provision.”

#BeAuthenticallyYou
“But I want to challenge you right up front to refuse to accept your avatar. I want you to fight for authenticity. I I want you to to fight to integrate your true self because it is only there that you find what you've been looking for. Did you catch that? I said it is only when you actually accept who God has called you to be and how God has called you to be that you'll find what you've been looking for in all the wrong places.”

#DropTheMask
“Brothers and sisters, can I ask you a question? Why do people spend their whole lives trying to be somebody that they're not? Psychologists refer to this the false self. the self that we create and project to try to convince others that we're anybody than who we actually are. The challenge is you can never be fulfilled. You can never be satisfied. You can never be actualized while you're wearing the mask of another identity.”

#StopTheAvatarAct
“And if we're honest today, everybody from the choir to the pulpit to the last row of the balcony, we all have created our own avatar. It's not us. It's the representative that we want the world to believe. And that's maybe because if we're honest, there's some things in us and about us that we're not pleased with. Come on. Tell the truth. You don't even like you every day. Now as a consequence, we spend an inordinate amount of time, energy, effort, and even resources trying to create an alternate image so that we don't have to deal with the individual that we see in the mirror.”

#BeingMeIsWork
“Because the truth is, watch this, we're trying to convince the world in an attempt to try to convince ourselves that that everything in us is right when we know it's not right. Would you just confess to your neighbor this? Say, neighbor Neighbor. I want you to know that being me Being me. Is a full time job. Full Yeah. It's it's steady work, Jack. It's talking about overtime with no pay, and and here it is.”

#RecognizeYourGifts
“The the lion supposedly doesn't have courage, but every time they find themselves in a sticky situation, it's the lion who steps up first to deal with the danger. The the scarecrow played by Michael Jackson supposedly was born without a brain, and yet he's constantly pulling out wisdom and problem solving real time. In this situation, Dorothy is wandering all over Oz trying to get her way back to Kansas, not recognizing that the very shoes that she's wearing, if she just clicked them heels three times, she's been carrying the key to her her trip back home the entire time. Even the wiz himself, Richard Pryor, for those of y'all old enough to remember, has created a city to build the the great and powerful Oz even though supposedly he's a mere politician cowering in the corner. What's your point? Here's my point, that these individuals spend their whole movie trying to get what they already have much like you and me spend our whole lives in pursuit,”

#HonorSexualBoundaries
“We have legitimate natural sexual desires that God has given us, but when we try to fulfill them outside of the boundary and covenant of marriage, whether it is in person or virtually. Can we talk for a minute?”
22s
#YouNeedTheWord
“God has had a filling station. God has had a word buffet where there has been a master chef providing the people of God with the word of God because at the end of the day, it is the word that makes the difference in your life. Help me tell your neighbor get free. Say, neighbor Neighbor. You need a word.”

#PursueWhatYouAlreadyHave
“In fact, this is a concept that you're actually familiar with because it was portrayed so powerfully in that epic cinematic movie, the wiz. it ever occurred you that that movie is all about a group of people trying to pursue what they already possess? Think about it. That the tin man purportedly doesn't have a heart. Yet throughout the movie, he's seen acting with compassion, crying, which you can only do if you have a heart.”
20s
#AcknowledgeWhatYouHave
“in trivial pursuit of trying to get what God has already given to us. I just said something right there. I said what you're looking for has been looking for you to acknowledge that you already have it.”

#DontConsumeGodsGifts
“Write this down. Sin is trying to meet a legitimate need with an illegitimate means. is trying to meet a legitimate need with an illegitimate means. In other words, brothers and sisters, he's he's trying to get the gifts and the graces that God has given him for the kingdom for his own consumption.”
29s
#UseGiftsForKingdom
“All I'm trying to get you to see, brothers and sisters, is that the the temptation here is for the devil to try to get Jesus to use his stuff for his own consumption. But but but understand that Jesus understands who he is. In fact, it's not gonna be a few more days until he says, I am the bread of life. I I don't need to feed myself bread. I am bread.”
