The word of the Lord simply reads, now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room. Mm. With his windows open toward Jerusalem. He knelt down on his knees three times that day. And prayed and gave thanks before his God. As was his custom. Since his early days. [00:05:03] (38 seconds)

King Darius soon elevated Daniel as one of three key administrators over the kingdom. He was one of three men appointed to manage the affairs of 120 leaders across the provinces and he was to directly now report to the king. Now this in itself is a shout moment. Can I prove it to you? Here's why. [00:12:20] (28 seconds)

I have learned that when you are faithful to God, your purpose and your call, according to Proverbs 18, 16, it always will make room for you. Your gifts, no matter who's in charge, no matter what's going on, somehow, some kind of way, when you serve the Lord, your gifts make room for you. [00:12:47] (31 seconds)

Your gifts, no matter who's in charge, no matter what's going on, somehow, some kind of way, when you serve the Lord, your gifts make room for you. You, I have seen far too many people trying to make room for their own elevation, room for their own gifts. They will lie, backstab, cheat, and push their way up the corporate ladder while God places his faithful in an elevator. [00:13:00] (39 seconds)

The earthly king doesn't matter because I showed up to serve the king of kings. And the Lord of lords, management can change, but my service will not. CEOs might transition, but my character will be consistent. Co-workers may shift, and my faith will still remain. I want my service and my witness to be a reflection of my God. [00:15:10] (25 seconds)

will be your servant a servant leader is a leader whose philosophy is rooted in humility selflessness and service following the example of Jesus Christ who lowered himself in order to serve us it is characterized by prioritizing the well-being and growth and spiritual flourishing of those who you lead rather than seeking personal power recognition in other words when you are a servant leader the biggest gratification you can get is someone telling you that they have grown because of you [00:16:41] (49 seconds)

for six chapters we have seen Daniel is not seeking things promotion he's seeking the Lord this positioned him to where others would always be in need of his do you know that God has given you something that somebody else needs do you know that God has uniquely created you in his image and equipped you with something that unless you operate in it we won't have it [00:19:54] (30 seconds)

Daniel had a religious practice of praying three times each day with his windows open toward Jerusalem it was something that everybody would have known about it was an open public example of his faith how he prayed how he labored before the lord if they could get the laws changed by the king so that when daniel prays to his god that it's no longer acceptable then they've got him a prayer to daniel's god must be an illegal act [00:33:35] (45 seconds)

this is what brings us to this verse 10 daniel is aware that this thing went down daniel knows now to continue living out his faith that he's been doing for as long as he can remember the way he's been doing it that it will make him an enemy to the state daniel knows that it will be an act punishable by death and daniel knows that there are folk who want him gone so what does daniel do daniel goes home and he goes to the upper room he opens his window he doesn't pray in private because he hadn't been praying in private he doesn't compromise his faith because he hadn't been compromising his faith he understands the consequences and he's prepared to deal with them [00:39:51] (65 seconds)

This man of God, though the people had not fully repented yet. This man of God, though they had not been brought out of captivity yet. This man of God kept on praying his prayer, kept on believing in his God. It did not matter what they said. It did not matter what they tried because his trust was in the Lord. [00:45:23] (22 seconds)

Pray until change happens. Pray. Pray until breakthrough comes through. Pray until healing's our reality. Pray. Pray. Pray. And pray some more. Go into your own house. Find your way to the upper room. Open up the window. Pray for me. Pray. Unless you break through. Pray until [00:46:40] (44 seconds)
