58s
“When Jesus was invited, he came in. When Jesus was invited, he came in. The bible says, they drew nigh under the village where they went, and he made as though he would have gone further. So they're walking along and Jesus just keeps walking as they turn towards their house. He has not been invited. Jesus is a gentleman. He will not push himself on people who do not want him. But they desired more fellowship with this person. He was such a good bible teacher. Please, please, come and stay with us. And they urged Jesus to just stay with them a while longer.”

“What happened at the breaking of the bread that caused them their eyes to be opened? Let me give you a couple possibilities. Jesus taught his disciples to pray differently than they had been taught to pray. He said, here's how I want you to pray. Our father, I want you to start talking to god like you're his children, because you are if you're born again, and you call him father. And I think Jesus began his prayer. And as I heard Jesus pray, nobody prayed like Jesus, our father. And he begins to thank God for that that bread. But as he takes that bread into his hands and he begins to break it, and they're they're looking over at this stranger who has suddenly taken over as master. Well, there there's nail prints. There's nail prints in his hands. It's Jesus. God opened their eyes, and then he was gone.”

“Now it was always in that culture, in that day, it was always the responsibility of the master of the house, those who knew to take these pieces of bread and and break it, pass it, pray. Thank God for the food. master of the house was responsible to pray the prayer. The master of the house was in control of the situation. Strangers, guests, never would do this. That was not their responsibility. They would simply watch and wait as the master of the house did these things. But this man but this man once invited in and they sit down to eat, this man reaches over and grabs the bread and begins to break it and pray over it as if he is the master of the house. Because that's the only position Jesus will have in your life.”
