God is inviting His people into a new season, calling them to let go of the past and perceive the fresh work He is doing right now. This is a Kairos moment, a divinely appointed time, and the Lord asks if we can recognize and come into agreement with His new move. The past has been significant, but it pales in comparison to what God is about to do; He is asking us to open our spiritual eyes, align our hearts, and say “yes” to His invitation. [01:39]
Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV)
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you sense God inviting you to let go of the past and step into something new? How can you say “yes” to Him today?
True spiritual strength does not come from our own abilities or efforts, but from being in the Lord and drawing from His mighty power. Just as a phone needs to be plugged into the source of electricity to function, we must be connected to God, who is not only the source but the very substance of our strength. In every spiritual battle, our victory depends on relying on Him, not on ourselves, for He is our refuge, our defense, and the power that enables us to stand firm. [14:34]
Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.”
Reflection: Where have you been trying to stand in your own strength? What would it look like to intentionally depend on God’s strength in that area today?
We are engaged in a spiritual battle, not a physical one, and our true adversary is not people but powerful spiritual forces of darkness. It is essential to have the perspective that opposition will come as we move forward in God’s purposes, but we must also remember that our God is infinitely stronger than any enemy we face. Like Elisha’s servant, we need our spiritual eyes opened to see that those who are with us are greater than those against us, and that God’s power far surpasses the strength of the enemy. [20:19]
Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Reflection: Who or what have you been viewing as your enemy? How can you ask God to open your eyes to the true spiritual battle and His greater power today?
The key to standing firm and overcoming the enemy is not found in striving, but in abiding—remaining intimately connected to Jesus. Our battle stance is not just on our feet, but on our knees and on our faces before God, seeking Him daily and drawing life from His presence. Jesus calls us to abide in Him, for apart from Him we can do nothing; it is only through spiritual intimacy with Christ that we have the power to resist the enemy and bear fruit that lasts. [32:57]
John 15:4-5 (ESV)
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Reflection: What practical step can you take today to deepen your intimacy with Jesus and abide in Him more fully?
God is sending a wave of His presence and revival, and what we are experiencing now is only the beginning—a “drawback” before the outpouring. The Lord is calling His people to run toward His presence, not away, and to fight to remain in the place where He is moving. This requires a posture of readiness, hunger, and willingness to receive, as well as a commitment to gather with others and carry His presence into every area of life. The time is now; God’s Spirit is about to pour out, and He invites us to respond with faith and expectation. [40:37]
Habakkuk 1:5 (ESV)
“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.”
Reflection: How can you position yourself today—both personally and with others—to be ready for a fresh move of God’s Spirit in your life and community?
Today marks a significant turning point—a Kairos moment—for our church and for each of us individually. God is inviting us into a new season, one marked by deeper spiritual awareness and preparation. As we begin a journey through Ephesians 6 and the armor of God, it’s crucial to first lay a foundation of understanding: we are in a spiritual battle, not just collectively as the body of Christ, but personally, every single day. This battle is not against people, but against powerful spiritual forces that seek to hinder God’s purposes in and through our lives.
The call is clear: it’s time to stand. But before we even discuss the pieces of the armor, we must answer two questions—where do I stand, and how do I stand? There is no middle ground in this spiritual conflict; neutrality is not an option. Once we declare that we stand with Jesus, we must learn how to stand in a way that is effective and enduring.
Standing begins with strength, but not our own. True strength comes from being in the Lord—He is not just the source of our strength, He is our strength. Just as a phone needs to be plugged into both the outlet and the electricity itself, we must be connected to God, drawing our very life and power from Him. Next, we need the right perspective. We are not standing in a vacuum; we are standing against real opposition. The enemy is strong, but our God is infinitely stronger. Like Elisha’s servant, we need our spiritual eyes opened to see that those who are with us are greater than those against us.
Finally, our posture matters. The battle stance God calls us to is not one of self-reliance, but of humility and intimacy—on our knees, abiding in Christ. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. The key to victory is not striving in our own effort, but remaining deeply connected to Jesus every day, not just on Sundays. This is the only way to withstand the enemy and to be ready for the wave of God’s presence and revival that is coming. The time is now; we must fight to stay in His presence, to run toward what God is doing, and to prepare our hearts for the outpouring He has promised.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (ESV) — 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.
16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,
18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
The first thing church that we have to understand is that we are in a battle. If you don't know that by now you have to understand this: you are in a battle whether you like it or not. You are in a battle and this is not a natural battle, this is not a physical battle, this is a spiritual battle that we are facing. Not just we collectively, yes we as the body of Christ, but you individually are in a spiritual battle every single day and the word of the Lord is making this very clear to us today. You have to have this perspective. It's not just a perspective to have, it's the reality that you have to live in with this understanding. [00:05:45] (62 seconds) #SpiritualBattleReality
It's bigger than you. I've said this before, salvation, even in this life, is just the gateway that begins the real life. And now we have to walk it out. And now we have to say, Lord, use me, Lord. I want your influence, Lord, to expand through my life, Lord. I want your kingdom influence to expand through my life, Lord. I want to make heaven crowded. It's bigger than you. [00:08:37] (37 seconds) #KingdomInfluenceMission
How do I stand? That is the title of this beginning part as we dive into the armor of God. Before we even look at the armor and putting on the armor and what the armor is and all that type of stuff, how do I stand? In this passage that we just read, in the first four or five verses alone, it says stand, stand, stand. Four times in four verses it says take your stand against the devil's schemes, stand your ground, do everything to stand, and finally it says to stand firm. [00:12:43] (45 seconds) #StandFirmInFaith
He is the very strength that you have because his spirit is in you. His spirit is in you. Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [00:17:27] (19 seconds) #AbideOrDie
We have to know how to stand and in order to know how to stand we have to have the perspective to know that we are standing against something. I'm not talking about leaning against something, I'm talking about that we are standing against something. There is an oncoming force that we are standing against, therefore resistance is required on my part because I am standing against a resistance that is opposing me. You have to have this perspective because if you just think you're gonna stand flat footed straight away, you're just gonna get knocked right over. You are standing against something. There is resistance required. We are in a battle, a spiritual battle, and the type of stance that the Lord is teaching us about today is a battle stance. [00:18:23] (66 seconds) #FightForHisPresence
The more that we press forward, the more opposition we will encounter. That is a fact of the matter. It's a fact of the matter. This is not to scare you because there is some good news that we're gonna look at in a second, but you have to understand this. You're coming up against some things. Why? There's a reason. The enemy sees, the enemy is trying to take you out, the enemy is trying to slow you down. The more opposition you face, it means, man, you must be moving forward. There's some things on the horizon in your life. [00:20:12] (34 seconds) #TheTimeIsNow
You need to have this perspective in this understanding because this is not a game, this is a battle, this is warfare. Your adversary is incredibly strong. In fact, I'll use a different adjective, your adversary is indescribably strong. You and you are no match for him in your own strength. No match. You're no match in your own strength. In fact, let's go further than this: if we took all of the billions of people on this planet—billions—and we brought them all together and somehow, some way, we got all united together, and we just brought all of our strength and all of the power that we have, all of the ingenuity and everything that we had, if we brought it all together united as one force, we are no match for this adversary. He is like a bulldozer and we are like a feather in our own strength. That's the key. In our own strength. [00:22:27] (85 seconds)
But in this instance, it's just the exact opposite because this wave that is coming is not bad, it's not meant to destroy you, it is exactly the opposite. This is the wave of my presence, this is revival, this is my spirit that I have so desired to pour out over you and what I'm giving you this perspective to see this and to tell the people: don't run the other way, run towards it. [00:38:18] (27 seconds)
You have to fight to stay in his presence. You need to run to the altar, you need to fight to be in church. And I've never really said that, it kind of can sound almost cheesy, a pastor saying this, but this is the word of God, this is what, because the wave of God's presence, we're going to fill it here together collectively, but it's not going to stop there, it's going to go into your homes, it's going to go into your workplaces, you are going to carry this wave with you everywhere that you go. But you have to fight because the enemy sees this and he's hearing this now, so he's going to try to do everything he can to pull you away from the seashore. You have to fight.
