The devil tends to attack us as individuals in the realm of the mind and understanding, in the realm of the experience, and in the realm of practice and of conduct. [00:58:03]

The devil tends to confuse us with regard to the whole place of experience in our Christian faith, with regard to the whole of the experimental side, and he drives us from one extreme to the other. [01:36:40]

The devil is the great counterfeit always of God and his works, and there is one thing in common, and it is this fundamental plan and pattern. It's there in God's work, isn't it? God always works on a fundamental plan. [04:21:20]

The devil's wiles as they are revealed and manifested in confusion between the physical, psychological, and spiritual. [05:48:56]

We all know that we are strange creatures. We're made up of body, mind, and spirit, and all these are interrelated and react upon one another, and so many of our troubles in life are due to that fact and our failure to realize the place and the function and the sphere of each one of these realms. [06:39:96]

The Puritans of 300 years ago were real experts in this matter. They were primarily pastors and interested in the pastoral side, and as you read their great works, their voluminous works, you will find that the vast majority of them are concerned to unravel the problems and the difficulties of Christian life and living. [10:07:20]

The devil takes advantage. All we know is that we are not as we once were in our spiritual life, and he makes us think it's a purely spiritual problem, but sometimes it's a purely physical problem. [20:40:15]

There are some people who are born with this slightly depressed and melancholic type of temperament. [27:20:39]

The natural man is the victim of his temperament. That's why it's difficult to live with so often. He can't control his temper. That's his nature. [33:20:27]

The devil is always ready to attack you at that point and in that particular way, and therefore, and this is to me the important rule, you have to realize that as a Christian, though you still have got the same temperament that you always have had, as a Christian, you must not become its victim. [33:20:39]

The trouble with these people is that they've never been Christians at all. They've never been converted. They think they have. They've taken a decision, and they've been told they're Christians, but they're in trouble, and a little conversation reveals that they've rarely never been Christians at all. [40:30:72]

Thank God once more that we can be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Thank God for the word, the understanding, the instruction, the enlightenment, the knowledge. Get hold of it, apply it, practice it in every realm and department of your life, and the wiles of the devil will not be able to confound you. [52:21:96]
