A heart prepared for God is marked by prayer, repentance, and forgiveness.
God’s presence and revival come to places and people who are ready for Him. Preparation is not about outward rituals but about the posture of our hearts—humbling ourselves in prayer, turning from sin, and walking in forgiveness. When we cultivate this atmosphere, both individually and as a church, we become a place where God’s Spirit can move powerfully. Revival begins in the heart, and as each heart is revived, the fire spreads, igniting a movement of God’s presence that brings life and healing to our land. [03:15]
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Reflection: What is one area of your heart that needs to be surrendered in prayer, repentance, or forgiveness today so you can prepare a place for God’s presence?
Forgiveness is not just for others; it’s essential to forgive yourself as Christ has forgiven you.
Many struggle to move forward because they remain tethered to shame and regret, even after receiving God’s forgiveness. True freedom comes when you accept that you are a new creation in Christ, your past is over, and you no longer have to dwell in what was. Walking in forgiveness means releasing others and yourself, choosing daily to let go of what holds you back, and embracing the healing Jesus offers. This is not always a one-time act but a continual choice to live in the reality of God’s grace. [08:51]
Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Reflection: Is there something from your past that you still hold against yourself? What would it look like to truly forgive yourself and walk in the freedom Christ has given you?
We are not fighting against people, but against spiritual forces of evil.
It’s easy to get caught up in conflicts with others, but God’s Word reminds us that our real enemy is not flesh and blood. The enemy’s strategy is to divide and distract us by turning us against each other, but we are called to rise above and see with kingdom perspective. When we focus on Jesus and enthrone Him in our lives, we dethrone the enemy’s influence and stand united in love, even as we stand firm against evil. [14:39]
Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Reflection: Who in your life do you need to see with God’s eyes instead of as an enemy? How can you shift your focus from conflict with people to standing firm against the real spiritual battle?
We are called to put on and take in God’s armor daily, standing firm in the victory Jesus has already won.
Spiritual armor is not something external but must be internalized—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God must be within us. We don’t have to defeat the enemy ourselves; Jesus has already won the victory. Our role is to resist, to stand, and to remain immovable in the face of opposition, knowing that our strength and protection come from God. Each day, we must choose to take up this armor, allowing it to shape our thoughts, actions, and responses. [19:57]
Ephesians 6:13-14a (NLT)
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will be standing firm. Stand your ground…
Reflection: What piece of God’s armor do you most need to “take in” today to stand firm in the challenges you are facing?
The posture of victory is simply to keep standing, trusting that God fights for you.
You don’t have to win every battle by your own strength; your victory is rooted in what Jesus has already accomplished. When opposition comes, your call is not to run or cower, but to stand your ground—immovable, unshakable, and fully trusting in God’s promises. Even when the weapon is formed, it will not prosper. God upholds you with His righteous right hand, and your labor in the Lord is never in vain. Stand firm, and let your life be an outward expression of the inner reality of Christ’s victory. [30:51]
Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Reflection: In what area of your life do you feel tempted to give up or run away? How can you choose to “just keep standing” and trust God to fight for you today?
Revival is not just a distant hope or a historical event; it is the living reality of God breathing new life into hearts that are prepared for Him. To experience this outpouring, it is essential to cultivate an atmosphere where God is welcomed—not just in our church, but in our individual hearts. Throughout Scripture, God inhabits places and people who are ready for His presence. Preparation begins with a posture of prayer, repentance, and forgiveness. There is a divine order: prayer leads to repentance, repentance leads to forgiveness, and forgiveness leads to healing and revival. When hearts are revived, they become like flames that, when gathered, ignite a wildfire of God’s Spirit.
A crucial aspect often overlooked is the need to forgive ourselves. Many carry shame and regret, even after receiving God’s forgiveness. But Christ’s work on the cross means our past is over, and we are new creations. Walking in forgiveness is not just about releasing others, but also about releasing ourselves from the grip of shame and guilt. This is necessary for true freedom and for the fullness of revival to take root in our lives.
Turning to Ephesians 6, we are reminded that our battle is not against people, but against spiritual forces of evil. The enemy’s strategy is to turn us against each other, but our call is to enthrone Jesus above all else. The armor of God is not merely external; it is spiritual and internal. We are to “put on” (sink into) and “take up” (let it sink into us) the armor daily. This is not a one-time act, but a continual, decisive action.
The victory over the enemy has already been won by Jesus. Our role is not to defeat the devil—he is already defeated—but to resist him and stand firm. The burden of winning every battle is not ours to carry. Instead, we are called to keep standing, rooted in Christ’s victory. Even when opposition comes, when weapons are formed against us, our call is to stand our ground, immovable and unshakable, trusting that God upholds us with His righteous right hand. The posture of victory is simply to stand—physically, spiritually, and in worship—declaring that, no matter what comes, we will keep standing in Christ.
Ephesians 6:10-14 (ESV) — > 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
> 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
> 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
> 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
> 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness...
2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV) — > If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Colossians 2:15 (ESV) — > He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
Revival always starts first in the hearts of people. That's really what revival is all about. So in light of that, in light of the fact that, God, you always come and you inhabit, you visit places that are prepared for you, what does a heart that is prepared for God look like? Now that Christ has forgiven me I can now forgive myself which I think sometimes we skip that part and that is a tether that will hold you back. Yes, forgive others, so important, but in light of the fact that Christ has forgiven you, you can now forgive yourself. [00:08:56] (31 seconds) #ForgiveYourselfToBeFree
I have to take up the armor. I have to take it in every single day that I wake up. I have to put on the armor, sink into it, and take it in. So in verse 11, it says, put it on, sink into the armor. Remember what we learned. God is our armor, right? He himself is our armor. So sink into it, put on, and duo. And now it's saying, take it up, let the armor sink into you. Little difference, but deep. I need to sink into the armor, and now I have to take it up and allow the armor to sink into me. [00:19:14] (39 seconds) #ArmorOfGodWithin
You don't have to beat the devil. Why? You just have to resist him. And here's the title of this message today: just keep standing. This should take a load off of your shoulders. You don't have to beat the devil, he's already defeated. Let me remind you this, that Jesus has already won the victory. [00:23:11] (31 seconds) #ResistStandVictorious
Our victory is rooted in what Jesus did, not in what we do. You got to understand this. It doesn't mean, though, that we do nothing. It doesn't mean we do nothing. We are called to resist the enemy. We are called to stand firm in Jesus. This is a battle. You are in a battle. And you are called to fight. But check this out. Our resisting, our standing, our fighting, it's done from a position of victory. We don't have to fight to obtain it. Why? Because Jesus has already won the victory. You don't have to win it every single time. You have to just stand in it. [00:24:11] (50 seconds) #VictoryInJesusStandFirm
Listen, people of God, you will be attacked. Just keep standing. You will be persecuted. You will be persecuted, just keep standing. You're gonna develop some battle scars, wear them, but just keep standing. Listen, the weapon will be formed against you, but just keep standing because the promise of God is this: that it will not prosper, but it will be formed. It may even strike a blow, but just keep standing. [00:27:14] (51 seconds) #StandFirmInBattle
What I want to tell you today, people of God, is simply this. Stand firm. Stand your ground. Stand immovable. Stand unshakable. Stand in victory. The posture of victory is standing on your feet. [00:30:32] (24 seconds) #StandUnshakableInVictory
When we say, Lord, I'm going to lift my hands to you. Whatever comes my way, Lord, whatever I'm facing in times of opposition, in the day of evil, Lord, when things are heated up the most, I'm going to keep standing. Just like the three Hebrew boys in the fire, I am standing and I know that you're standing with me. [00:31:30] (19 seconds) #LiftHandsStandWithGod
