1. "The tenants and the teachings of the Bible, of Jesus are as relevant today as they've ever been in the entirety of human history. There's a lot of men's out there. A lot of dudes. So the book of Acts is a culture shifting moment in biblical and human history. In the book of Acts, Jesus goes to heaven. He leaves this earth for the final time until he returns at the end of time."

2. "When we challenge culture, when we have courage to stand up against culture, culture is not going to support you. Your family might not even support you. You will find opposition and pushback where it would be way easier just to bend to what the culture is doing than to stand firm in your faith and to stand firm in what you believe and what the Bible tells us to."

3. "But I think you're better off to stand firm in that faith instead of beginning to bring in these other things that you think culture will accept into your building. And I don't care if you're doing it under the guise of, well, they got to get in the door to hear the gospel. It's like, okay, there was eight religions, symbols on the door to their church now. It's not a church anymore. I don't care if you have church service there."

4. "What I found in my life is that if I am loving and honest about my faith, that people generally are not that hostile towards me. It's not a rule. There are people who still are. But most people respect that you stand on your faith and you stand on your belief system. You stand on what is true. You express it in a loving way to people, even if they're in a spot where they don't believe what you believe or they don't want to come to church or they don't want to hear God's word or they don't want to accept and repent and move to a relationship with him."

5. "We have got to have the courage to stand in the gap against cultural shift and cultural change. We just have to. I remember whenever I surrendered to be a pastor. And my life up to this point has not been on this trajectory. I wasn't the Sunday school to Bible college to ministry full time type of guy. I lived the let's go to the depths of everything and then come out the other side and see what happens lifestyle."

6. "The pursuit of God is maybe the most exciting aspect of my life I've ever experienced. Fulfilling is a great word, but it's also it is fun. Yeah, it's fun. I literally like there's never a day I wake up and now and I'm like, today's going to be a terrible day. Like every day, even the worst days in pursuit of God and doing his. His will and his work is it's incredible. It's like even if I am down or even if I am tired or even if I am, it's like, let's do this. Like game on."

7. "It's you making the decision to have the courage to stand up. Yeah. It's this church that we just watched the video having the courage to do the right thing and continue to preach the gospel instead of all these other things they're bringing in. It's to know that there's going to be a downslide. I remember whenever I left kind of the lifestyle of partying and being out all the time with friends and stuff. And there was a period of time where I had to get really comfortable with I was going to be kind of lonely."

8. "We could record episodes. We could do all these things that we love to do. We could still do them every night of the week. There's people in community who are doing these things. And maybe the. The greatest contribution that the community has is it is a place where you can develop and build community and culture or courage to push back against the culture that's around you to create spaces where people can can come in to be a part of this change and part of this pushback and part of this resistance, if you will, against what's going on."

9. "We are all innately designed with the ability to do something. Yeah, we have a talent, a skill and ability that God has set aside for us to be the thing that we are gifted in. Some people, it's just like even having this immense compassion for people. Some people, it is communication and the ability. Some people, it's organizational leadership. And you have all these ways you can execute that. But inside of working towards sharing the gospel and God's will for our lives, there's you find that it's not you're pushing against a wall using these talents anymore."

10. "First Corinthians 16, 13. Be watchful. Stand firm in the faith. Act like men. Not like boys. Act like men. Be strong. When you're dealing with things in life and you're dealing with culture that's wishing you well. Now, whenever you're dealing with people who want you to bend to their will, understand that God's word is never changing. Who Jesus is is never changing. Who God is is never changing. So you should not change to bend to that. Stand firm. Be watchful. And don't allow culture to move you. Push back against it and stand firm against it."
