#AuthorityThroughSurrender
“Hey, in my own struggle and in the lives of others and their struggles, hey, my my mind belongs to Jesus. My body belongs to Jesus. My future belongs to him. My family belongs to Jesus. That wounded place in you and in me, that wounded place even there, that belongs to him. I belong to Jesus. We can say that. There's an incredible authority in simply surrendering to Jesus. step into the authority that Jesus has given us as believers. Where? Not with, like, great might and, like, victorious triumph, but in surrender. That's where we step into the authority that Jesus meant for us to have.”

#DidGodReallySay
“And it's interesting when we go back to the very beginning in Genesis three, in this moment when the lie is introduced to humanity, It's not some, like, Hollywood poltergeist movie moment. Right? It's not like spinning heads and creepy baby dolls. It's like this this simple thing. No spooky music. It's this question. And the question is, did God really Isn't that crazy? Did God did God really say? That's where the trouble begins. Can we really trust what God said? subtle, isn't it? So cunning. Is he really good? Maybe he's holding back something from you. Maybe the boundaries are to keep you from something good or he doesn't have your best interests in mind.”

#LiesDontDefineYou
“And, you know, we still live with versions of this lie today, only they're personalized. The devil's not up to anything new. He's still telling the same old lies, isn't he? It just gets personalized. In our lives, it looks like this. You're never gonna change. You're you've gone too far this time. God's disappointed with you. You're all alone. You're always gonna be like this. Who hears that one? You're it's you're always gonna be like this. You are the summation of what has happened to you.”

#ResurrectionVictory
“He's going straight into enemy territory and defeating something that we couldn't defeat on our own. That's the gospel. That three days later, Jesus rises from the grave, and that's why Peter can say, stand firm. And that's why you and I can resist the devil, and he will flee from us. That's why we can, become the type of people where the lie doesn't have to become our identity. That's why something that has been broken and bent over in you for eighteen, twenty, thirty years doesn't get the final word over your life, that Satan loses. And in the end, Jesus Christ is risen from the grave. Jesus Christ is Lord, and that's the good news for you and I this morning. That's the gospel. You guys, stand firm.”

#PauseYourThoughts
“That you and I can hit the pause button for a minute that we don't have to follow every single thought that enters our brain. A thought can show up, you guys, without you giving it authority to govern your life. That's beautiful.”

#IdentityInChrist
“And you're hearing about Jesus' resurrection and how it connects to your identity that you're not the summation of the worst thing that's happened to you or the worst thing that you've done. I wanna call you into relationship with Jesus this morning. And for those of you who have walked with Jesus for years, maybe decades, you served faithfully in this church, you've been around Life Vineyard for years and years, I think that Jesus, my my hunch is, I'm not always right, but my hunch is that he wants to pour something out of his faithfulness upon you this morning that he's not left you alone. Life vineyard, you are not alone.”

#WhoGetsAuthority
“God says, I love you. Watch it. Show up in your life. God says, I love you. And then immediately after, oh, happenstance, somebody rejects you. says about you. I'm with you. And then you go through a season where God seems so far away, you can't feel him. Or what about this one? you hear from God, you're forgiven, and then the video starts playing in your head. That four k high def video replay from, like, twelve or twenty years ago of something that's already paid for on the cross. And you're like, what gives? Well, what's happening there is that somewhere along that process, we have to decide which voice gets authority in our lives. Which voice will win the day in your life and in my life? We all have to make that decision. Who gets authority?”

#ResistAndStandFirm
“And I love what Peter says about what we're to do about that. Like, okay, great. There's a force out there that's, like, being exerted against me. There's something pushing against my progress and following Jesus. What do we do with that? Well, Peter gives this really ordinary kind of advice. He says, resist him and stand firm. That's the word for Life Vineyard this morning. If you're going through it, you stand firm, stand firm, Peter says.”
